'Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Bakrah narrates from his father that we were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he said, "Shall I not tell you of the major sins?" 1. To associate partners with Allah. 2. To disobey one's parents." He was reclining and sat up straight, and said, "3. False witness, false witness, false witness, false statement." He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kept repeating it until we said, "Perhaps you will now stop."

(٢٠٥٧٨) عبدالرحمن بن ابی بکرہ اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس تھے، آپ نے فرمایا : کیا میں کبیرہ گناہوں کے بارے میں بیان نہ کروں : 1 اللہ کے ساتھ شرک کرنا 2 والدین کی نافرمانی کرنا۔ آپ ٹیک لگائے ہوئے تھے، سیدھے ہو کر بیٹھ گئی اور فرمایا : 3 جھوٹی گواہی، جھوٹی گواہی، جھوٹی گواہی، جھوٹی بات۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اس کو بار بار دھراتے رہے، یہاں تک کہ ہم نے کہا۔ شاید کے آپ خاموش ہوجائیں۔
20578 Abdurrahman bin Abi Bakrah apne wald se naqal farmate hain ke hum Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas thay, aap ne farmaya: kya main kabira gunahon ke bare mein bayan na karoon: 1 Allah ke sath shirk karna 2 waldain ki nafarmani karna. Aap tek lagaye hue thay, seedhe ho kar baith gaye aur farmaya: 3 jhooti gawahi, jhooti gawahi, jhooti gawahi, jhooti baat. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) is ko baar baar dhorate rahe, yahan tak ke hum ne kaha. Shayad ke aap khamosh hojain.
Thawus narrates from Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was told about a man who readily bore witness. He (the Prophet) said, "Do not bear witness to anything but that which is as clear as this sun." He (the Prophet) then pointed towards the sun with his hand.

(٢٠٥٧٩) طاؤس ابن عباس سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس ایک گواہی دینے والے آدمی کا تذکرہ کیا گیا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کسی کام پر گواہی نہ دینا، لیکن ایسا معاملہ جو اس سورج کی طرح روشن ہو، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اپنے ہاتھ سے سورج کی طرف اشارہ کیا۔
20579 Taa'us Ibn Abbas se naql farmate hain keh Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke pass ek gawahi dene wale aadmi ka tazkara kiya gaya, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : kisi kaam par gawahi na dena, lekin aisa mamla jo is sooraj ki tarah roshan ho, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne apne hath se sooraj ki taraf ishara kiya.
Abu Mujaliz narrated that I said to Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), "People call me to bear witness, and I dislike it." He replied, "Then bear witness to that which you know."

(٢٠٥٨٠) ابومجلز فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عمر (رض) سے کہا کہ لوگ مجھے گواہی کے لیے بلاتے ہیں اور میں ناپسند کرتا ہوں، فرمایا : اس پر گواہی دے جس کو تو جانتا ہے۔
