Abu Abdur Rahman Salmi narrates that Prophet David (peace be upon him) was commanded to judge (among people). He became afraid. Allah revealed to him: "I swear by My name and by the (right of) questioning for proofs..." He (Salmi) said: "This is a figurative speech."

(٢٠٧٢٢) ابو عبدالرحمن سلمی فرماتے ہیں کہ داؤد نبی کو فیصلہ کرنے کا حکم دیا گیا، وہ گھبرا گئے۔ اللہ نے وحی کی ان سے میرے نام کی قسم اور دلائل کا سوال کرو۔ فرماتے ہیں : یہ فصل خطاب ہے۔
(20722) Abu Abdurrahman Salmi farmate hain ki Daud nabi ko faisla karne ka hukum diya gaya, woh ghabra gaye. Allah ne wahi ki unse mere naam ki qasam aur dalayal ka sawal karo. Farmate hain : yeh fasal khitab hai.
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard a man swearing by his father. He said: "Do not swear by your fathers. Whoever swears an oath, let him swear by the truth. Whoever is granted an oath by Allah, let him be content, and whoever is granted an oath by Allah and is not content, then it is not from Allah."

(٢٠٧٢٣) ابن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک آدمی کو سنا وہ اپنے باپ کی قسم اٹھا رہا تھا۔ آپ نے فرمایا : اپنے باپوں کی قسمیں نہ اٹھاؤ۔ جو قسم اٹھائے تو سچی۔ جس کو اللہ کی قسم دے دی گئی وہ راضی ہوگیا اور جس کو اللہ کی قسم دی گئی اور وہ راضی نہ ہوا تو وہ اللہ کی جانب سے نہیں ہے۔
20723 Ibn Umar (RA) farmate hain keh Rasul Allah (SAW) ne aik aadmi ko suna woh apne baap ki qasam utha raha tha. Aap ne farmaya : apne baapon ki qasmein na uthao. Jo qasam uthaye to sachi. Jis ko Allah ki qasam de di gayi woh razi ho gaya aur jis ko Allah ki qasam de di gayi aur woh razi na hua to woh Allah ki janib se nahi hai.
Ibn Shihab said: Two men came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) disputing. One of them was weak in presenting his argument and could not make his point clear. The Prophet (ﷺ) gave the judgment in favor of the other. Then the one with the weak argument said: "Hasbiyallahu wa ni'mal-Wakeel (Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best Disposer of affairs)." You (ﷺ), while moving your hands two or three times, said: "Hasbiyallahu wa ni'mal-Wakeel. Demand your right until you are exhausted. When you are exhausted, then say: Hasbiyallahu wa ni'mal-Wakeel because the judgment will be based on your arguments."

(٢٠٧٢٤) ابن شہاب فرماتے ہیں کہ دو آدمی جھگڑا لے کر رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آئے، ایک دلائل کے اعتبار سے کمزور تھا اپنی بات واضح نہ کرسکا۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دوسرے کے حق میں فیصلہ کردیا تو کمزور دلیل والا کہنے لگا : مجھے اللہ ہی کافی ہے، وہ کارساز ہے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اپنے ہاتھوں کو دو یا تین بار حرکت دیتے ہوئے فرمایا : حَسْبِیَ اللَّہُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَکِیلُ اپنا حق طلب کر عاجز آنے تک۔ جب عاجز آجائے تب کہہ : حَسْبِیَ اللَّہُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَکِیلُ کیونکہ فیصلہ تمہارے دلائل کی بنیاد پر کیا جائے گا۔
(20724) Ibn Shahab farmate hain ke do aadmi jhagra lekar Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke pass aaye, ek dalail ke aitbaar se kamzor tha apni baat wazeh na karsaka. Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne dusre ke haq mein faisla kardiya to kamzor daleel wala kahne laga : mujhe Allah hi kafi hai, wo karsaz hai. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne apne hathon ko do ya teen bar harkat dete hue farmaya : Hasbiyallahu waniimal wakeel apna haq talab kar aajiz aane tak. Jab aajiz aajaye tab kah: Hasbiyallahu waniimal wakeel kyunki faisla tumhare dalail ki bunyad par kiya jayega.
Awf ibn Malik reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) judged between two men, and the one against whom the judgment was given said: Allah is sufficient for me and He is the best Disposer of affairs. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Verily, Allah is pleased with forbearance, but adopt prudence. When the matter overwhelms you, then say: Allah is sufficient for me and He is the best Disposer of affairs.

(٢٠٧٢٥) عوف بن مالک فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دو آدمیوں کے درمیان فیصلہ فرمایا۔ جس کے خلاف فیصلہ کیا گیا وہ کہنے لگا : مجھے اللہ کافی ہے وہ بہترین کارساز ہے۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اللہ عاجزی پر ملاقات کرتا ہے، لیکن دانائی کو اختیار کرو۔ جب معاملہ غالب آجائے پھر کہہ : حَسْبِیَ اللَّہُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَکِیلُ ۔
(20725) Auf bin Malik farmate hain keh Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne do aadmiyon ke darmiyan faisla farmaya. Jis ke khilaf faisla kiya gaya woh kehne laga: mujhe Allah kaafi hai woh behtarin kar saaz hai. Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Allah aajzi par mulaqat karta hai, lekin danai ko ikhtiyar karo. Jab mamla ghalib aajaye phir keh: Hasbiyallahu waniimal wakeel.
