Chapter: Those Who Allowed Praying Two Rak'ahs in Each Rak'ah Three Ruku's During an Eclipse
باب من أجاز أن يصلى في الخسوف ركعتين في كل ركعة ثلاث ركوعات
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 6318
Ubaid bin Umair narrated that Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: When there was a solar eclipse during the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood for a long time in prayer. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood, then bowed, then stood, then bowed again. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood again and prayed two rak'ahs with three bowings and four prostrations. Then he finished the prayer with salam, and by then the sun had already reappeared. While bowing, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would say: "Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)." Then he would bow again, and upon lifting his head from bowing, he would say: "Sami'a Allahu liman hamidah (Allah hears those who praise Him)." Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would stand and praise and glorify Allah. Then he said: "The sun and the moon are not eclipsed because of the death or life of anyone, but they are signs from among the signs of Allah. When you see an eclipse, remember Allah and supplicate Him until the eclipse is over."

(٦٣١٨) عبید بن عمیر فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں : جب نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے دور میں سورج گرہن ہوگیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے لمبا قیام کیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کھڑے ہوئے ۔ پھر رکوع فرمایا۔ پھر کھڑے ہوئے۔ پھر رکوع فرمایا۔ پھر کھڑے ہوئے۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دو رکعات پڑھیں اور تین رکوع اور چار سجدے کیے ۔ پھر سلام پھیرا اور سورج روشن ہوچکا تھا ۔ جب آپ رکوع کرتے تو فرماتے : اللہ اکبر، پھر رکوع کرتے اور جب رکوع سے سر اٹھاتے تو فرماتے : سَمِعَ اللَّہُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَہُ ۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کھڑے ہوئے اور اللہ کی حمد وثنا بیان کی۔ پھر فرمایا : سورج اور چاند کو گرہن کسی کی موت یا زندگی کی وجہ سے نہیں ہوتا بلکہ یہ اللہ کی نشانیاں ہے جن کے ذریعہ اللہ رب العزت ڈراتے ہیں۔ جب تم گرہن کو دیکھو تو اللہ کا ذکر کیا کرو یہاں تک کہ وہ روشن ہوجائے۔
(6318) Obaid bin Umair farmate hain ke Hazrat Ayesha (Raz) farmati hain : Jab Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke daur mein Suraj Grahan hogaya to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne lamba qayam kiya. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) kharay huye . Phir ruku farmaya. Phir kharay huye. Phir ruku farmaya. Phir kharay huye. Phir aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne do rakat parhi aur teen ruku aur chaar sajde kiye . Phir salam phayra aur Suraj roshan hochuka tha . Jab aap ruku karte to farmate : Allah Akbar, phir ruku karte aur jab ruku se sar uthate to farmate : Sami Allahu Liman Hamidah . Phir aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) kharay huye aur Allah ki hamd o sana bayan ki. Phir farmaya : Suraj aur Chand ko Grahan kisi ki maut ya zindagi ki wajah se nahi hota balke ye Allah ki nishaniyan hain jin ke zariye Allah Rab ul Izzat darate hain. Jab tum Grahan ko dekho to Allah ka zikr kiya karo yahan tak ke wo roshan hojaye.
'Ubayd bin 'Umair narrated that Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed a prayer with six bowings and four prostrations. I said to Mu'adh bin Hisham: Is she narrating from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? He said: Yes, there is no doubt about it.

(٦٣١٩) عبید بن عمیر حضرت عائشہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے چھ رکوع اور چار سجدوں کے ساتھ نماز پڑھائی۔ میں نے معاذ بن ہشام سے کہا : کیا وہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے نقل فرماتی ہیں ؟ فرمایا : ہاں، اس میں کوئی شک نہیں ہے۔
(6319) Obaid bin Umair Hazrat Ayesha (RA) farmaty hain keh Rasool Allah (SAW) ne chhe ruku aur chaar sajdon ke sath namaz parhayi. Maine Muaz bin Hisham se kaha: kya woh Nabi (SAW) se naqal farmati hain? Farmaya: haan, is mein koi shak nahin hai.
(6320) Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: There was a solar eclipse during the lifetime of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). It was the day on which Ibrahim, the son of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) died. The people said: This has happened because of the death of Ibrahim. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up and led the prayer and offered a prayer of six rak'ahs with four prostrations. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pronounced Takbir, and then recited a long recitation. Then, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed a bowing as long as his standing. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raised his head from bowing and recited a little shorter than the first recitation. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed bowing as long as his standing. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited for the third time which was shorter than the second one and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed bowing equal to his standing. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raised his head and prostrated. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offered two prostrations. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up and performed three bowings before prostrating, each bowing was as long as his standing. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stepped back in prayer, so the rows also stepped back. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) moved forward and stood in his place, and the rows also moved forward with him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished the prayer, the sun had already brightened. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “O people! The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of someone’s death. So when you see that, then pray until it brightens.”

(٦٣٢٠) جابر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے دور میں سورج گرہن ہوگیا۔ یہ وہ دن تھا جس میں نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے بیٹے ابراہیم فوت ہوئے تو لوگوں نے کہا : یہ ابراہیم کی موت کی وجہ سے ہوا ہے۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کھڑے ہوئے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے چھ رکوع اور چار سجدوں کے ساتھ نماز پڑھائی۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے تکبیر کہی۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے لمبی قرأت کی۔ پھر اتنا ہی لمبا رکوع کیا۔
پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے رکوع سے سر اٹھایا تو پہلی قراءت سے ذرا کم قراءت کی۔ پھر اتنا لمبا ہی رکوع کیا، جتنا قیام کیا تھا۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے تیسری مرتبہ قراءت کی، جو دوسری مرتبہ والی قراءت سے کم تھی۔ پھر قیام کے برابر رکوع کیا۔ پھر رکوع سے سر اٹھایا اور سجدے میں گرپڑے۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے دو سجدے کیے۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کھڑے ہوئے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے سجدہ کرنے سے پہلے تین رکوع کیے ہر رکوع دوسرے سے لمبا ہی ہوتا ہے بلکہ جتنا قیام اتناہی لمبا رکوع فرمایا۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نماز میں پیچھے ہٹے تو صفیں بھی پیچھے ہٹیں۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) آگے بڑھے اور اپنی جگہ پر کھڑے ہوگئے اور صفیں بھی آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ آگے بڑھیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نماز پوری کی تو سورج روشن ہوچکا تھا۔ فرمایا : اے لوگو ! سورج و چاند اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے دو نشانیاں ہیں، یہ کسی انسان کی موت کی وجہ سے بےنور نہیں ہوتے۔ جب تم کوئی ایسی چیز دیکھو تو نماز پڑھو یہاں تک کہ یہ روشن ہوجائے۔
(6320) Jabir (rz) farmate hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke daur mein suraj grahan hogaya. Yeh woh din tha jis mein Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke bete Ibrahim foot huye to logon ne kaha: Yeh Ibrahim ki mout ki wajah se hua hai. Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) kharay huye. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne chhe ruku aur chaar sajdon ke sath namaz parhayi. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne takbeer kahi. Phir aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne lambi qirat ki. Phir itna hi lamba ruku kiya. Phir aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne ruku se sar uthaya to pehli qirat se zara kam qirat ki. Phir itna lamba hi ruku kiya, jitna qayam kiya tha. Phir aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne teesri martaba qirat ki, jo doosri martaba wali qirat se kam thi. Phir qayam ke barabar ruku kiya. Phir ruku se sar uthaya aur sajde mein girpare. Phir aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne do sajde kiye. Phir aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) kharay huye. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne sajda karne se pehle teen ruku kiye har ruku doosre se lamba hi hota hai balke jitna qayam itna hi lamba ruku farmaya. Phir aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) namaz mein peechhe hate to safin bhi peechhe hatin. Phir aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) aage barhe aur apni jagah par kharay hogaye aur safin bhi aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke sath aage barhin. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne namaz poori ki to suraj roshan hochuka tha. Farmaya: Aye logo! Suraj o chand Allah ki nishaniyon mein se do nishaniyan hain, yeh kisi insan ki mout ki wajah se benoor nahi hote. Jab tum koi aisi cheez dekho to namaz parho yahan tak ke yeh roshan hojaye.
(6321) (a) Abd al-Malik narrated from his chain of transmission with a similar meaning, saying: "Your (the Prophet's, peace and blessings be upon him) bowing was like your prostration." He added: "The rows moved back so far that they reached the women." At the end of the hadith, he added: "There is nothing that was promised to you that I did not see in this prayer of mine. Hell was brought forth. This was when you saw me stepping back, fearing that its flames would touch me. Until I saw the one with the hooked stick, dragging his intestines in Hell. He used to graze the front of the Hajj pilgrims with his stick. If he had known, he would have said that they had gotten caught on his stick. If he didn't realize, he would take them. And I saw in Hell a woman who had tied up a cat. She would neither feed it nor let it go to eat from the insects of the earth. Until it died of hunger. Then Paradise was brought forth. This was when you saw me stepping forward. Until I stood in my place and I stretched out my hand to take from its fruits, for you to see. Then it was made clear to me that I should not do so. Everything that was promised to you, I saw in this prayer of mine."
The Sheikh (al-Nawawi) said: The narration of Abu Zubair from Jabir, and the two are the same story, and the prayer he described is the one when the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) son Ibrahim died.
(b) Abu Zubair reported that Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led them in a prayer of two rak'ahs, and in each rak'ah, there were two bowings."
(c) Most scholars agree that both the sun and the moon are among the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of the death or life of anyone. There is a consensus among this number of people that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) never performed more than two bowings in one rak'ah.

(٦٣٢١) (الف) عبد الملک نے اپنی سند سے اسی کے ہم معنی بیان کیا ہے، فرماتے ہیں کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا رکوع سجدے کی طرح ہی تھا۔ اس میں اضافہ کیا ہے کہصفیں اس قدر پیچھے ہٹیں کہ وہ عورتوں تک پہنچ گئیں۔ حدیث کے آخر میں اضافہ ہے کہ کوئی چیز ایسی نہیں جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا گیا اور میں نے اس کو اپنی اس نماز میں نہ دیکھا ہو۔ جہنم کو لایا گیا۔ جس وقت تم نے مجھے دیکھا کہ میں پیچھے ہٹ رہا ہوں اس ڈر سے کہ کہیں اس کے شعلے مجھے نہ پہنچ جائیں۔ یہاں تک کہ میں نے اس میں کھونٹی والے کو دیکھا کہ وہ اپنی آنتیں جہنم میں کھینچ رہا تھا۔ وہ حاجیوں کے سامان کو اپنی کھونٹی سے چرایا کرتا تھا۔ اگر اس کو علم ہوجاتا تو کہہ دیتا کہ وہ میری کھونٹی سے اٹک گیا۔ اگر اس کو پتہ نہ چلتا تو وہ لے جاتا اور میں نے جہنم میں ایک بلی کو باندھنے والی عورت کو دیکھا۔ نہ تو وہ اس کو کھلاتی تھی اور نہ ہی اس کو چھوڑتی تاکہ وہ زمین کے حشرات کو کھا کر گزار کرلیتی۔ یہاں تک کہ وہ بھوکی مرگئی ۔ پھر جنت کو لایا گیا، یہ اس وقت تھا جب تم نے مجھے آگے بڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا۔ یہاں تک کہ میں اپنی جگہ پر کھڑا ہوگیا اور میں نے اپنا ہاتھ پھیلایا تاکہ اس کے پھل حاصل کرلوں، تاکہ تم دیکھ لو۔ پھر میرے لیے ظاہر ہوا کہ میں ایسا نہ کروں۔ جس چیز کا بھی تم سے وعدہ کیا گیا میں نے اس کو اپنی اس نماز میں دیکھا۔
شیخ فرماتے ہیں : ابو زبیر عن جابر والا اور یہ دونوں ایک ہی قصہ ہے اور نماز وہ بیان کی جب نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے بیٹے ابراہیم فوت ہوئے۔
(ب) ابو زبیر حضرت جابر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان کو دو رکعت نماز پڑھائی اور ہر رکعت میں دو رکوع تھے۔
(ج) اکثر کا قول ہے کہ سورج و چاند دونوں اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے ہیں۔ یہ کسی کی موت یا زندگی کی وجہ سے بےنور نہیں ہوتے۔ اس تعداد میں لوگوں کا اتفاق ہے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک رکعت میں دو رکوع سے زائد نہیں کیے۔
(6321) (alif) Abdul Malik ne apni sanad se isi ke hum maani bayan kya hai, farmate hain ki aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ka rukuh sajday ki tarah hi tha. Is mein izafa kya hai ki safin is kadar peechhe hatin ki woh auraton tak pahunch gayin. Hadees ke akhir mein izafa hai ki koi cheez aisi nahin jis ka tum se waada kya gaya aur maine is ko apni is namaz mein na dekha ho. Jahannum ko laya gaya. Jis waqt tumne mujhe dekha ki mein peechhe hat raha hun is dar se ki kahin is ke shulay mujhe na pahunch jayen. Yahan tak ki maine is mein khunti wale ko dekha ki woh apni aanten jahannum mein khench raha tha. Woh hajiyon ke saman ko apni khunti se charaya karta tha. Agar is ko ilm hojata to keh deta ki woh meri khunti se atak gaya. Agar is ko pata na chalta to woh le jata aur maine jahannum mein ek billi ko bandhne wali aurat ko dekha. Na to woh is ko khilati thi aur na hi is ko chhorti taki woh zameen ke hashrat ko kha kar guzar karleti. Yahan tak ki woh bhuki mar gayi. Phir jannat ko laya gaya, yeh is waqt tha jab tumne mujhe aage badhte huye dekha. Yahan tak ki mein apni jagah par khada ho gaya aur maine apna hath phelaya taki is ke phal hasil karlun, taki tum dekh lo. Phir mere liye zahir hua ki mein aisa na karun. Jis cheez ka bhi tum se waada kya gaya maine is ko apni is namaz mein dekha.
Sheikh farmate hain : Abu Zubair an Jabir wala aur yeh donon ek hi qissa hai aur namaz woh bayan ki jab nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke bete Ibrahim فوت ہوئے۔
(be) Abu Zubair Hazrat Jabir (Razi Allahu Anhu) farmate hain ki nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne un ko do rakat namaz parhayi aur har rakat mein do rukuh thay.
(jeem) Aksar ka qaul hai ki sooraj o chand donon Allah ki nishaniyon mein se hain. Yeh kisi ki mout ya zindagi ki wajah se benoor nahin hote. Is tadaad mein logon ka ittefaq hai ki aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne ek rakat mein do rukuh se ziyada nahin kiye.
