Chapter: Seeking Rain With Someone Whose Prayer Is Hoped to Be Blessed
باب الاستسقاء بمن ترجى بركة دعائه
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 6425
Abdullah bin Dinar narrates from his father that he heard from Ibn Umar, who drew an analogy from the following verse of Abu Talib:
"And the white-faced one by whose face rain clouds are sought, the refuge of orphans, the protector of widows."

(٦٤٢٥) عبداللہ بن دینار اپنے باپ سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے ابن عمر سے سنا، وہ تمثل بیان کرتے ہیں ابو طالب کے اس شعر سے۔
وَأَبْیَضَ یُسْتَسْقَی الْغَمَامُ بِوَجْہِہِ ثِمَالُ الْیَتَامَی عِصْمَۃٌ لِلأَرَامِلِ
ترجمہ : وہ سفید چہرے والا جس سے بادل بھی فیض حاصل کرتے ہیں۔ یتیموں کا فریاد رس اور بیواؤں کو کھلانے والا۔
(6425) Abdullah bin Dinaar apne baap se bayaan karte hain ki unhon ne Ibn Umar se suna, woh tamseel bayaan karte hain Abu Talib ke iss sher se.
Wabya يُstasqa alghamamu biwajhihi thimaal alyatama AAismatun lilaramil
Tarjuma : woh safeed chehre wala jisse baadal bhi faiz hasil karte hain. Yateemon ka faryaad ras aur bewaon ko khilane wala.
Salim narrated from his father that sometimes I would remember a poet's verse while looking at the face of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) as he stood on the pulpit asking for rain. And you (peace be upon him) would not descend from the pulpit until every roof was flowing with the sound of rain, and I would remember the saying of the poet:
"And with his face, clouds are asked for rain, the orphan of the Thaqif, a protection for widows."
And he said this is the saying of Abu Talib.

(٦٤٢٦) سالم اپنے باپ سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ بسا اوقات میں شاعر کے شعر کو یاد کرتا اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے چہرے کو دیکھتا جو منبر پر کھڑے بارش مانگ رہے ہوتے اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) منبر سے نہ اترتے کہ ہر پر نالہ جوش سے بہنے لگتا اور مجھے شاعر کا قول یاد آجاتا۔
وَأَبْیَضَ یُسْتَسْقَی الْغَمَامُ بِوَجْہِہِ ثِمَالُ الْیَتَامَی عِصْمَۃٌ لِلأَرَامِلِ
اور انھوں نے کہا کہ یہ ابو طالب کا قول ہے۔
(6426) Salim apne baap se bayan karte hain ki basa auqat mein shayar ke sher ko yaad karta aur Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke chehre ko dekhta jo mimbar par khade barish mang rahe hote aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) mimbar se na utarte ki har par nala josh se behne lagta aur mujhe shayar ka qaul yaad aata.
Wa abyazu yustaqal ghamamu bi wajhihi thimalul yatama ismatun lil arami.
Aur unhon ne kaha ki yeh Abu Talib ka qaul hai.
(6427) It is narrated on the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Khattab would be afflicted with drought, he would pray with Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib and say, "O Allah! We used to seek your blessings through the intercession of Your Prophet, and You would grant us rain. Today, we seek Your blessings through the intercession of the uncle of Your Prophet, so grant us rain." And they would be granted rain. Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated it in his Sahih from Hasan bin Muhammad Zafarani, and he said: This narration is, without a doubt, narrated from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him). He said that his name was omitted from the book of our Abu Muhammad.

(٦٤٢٧) حضرت انس (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ عمر (رض) بن خطاب جب قحط زدہ ہوجاتے تو وہ عباس بن عبد المطلب کے ساتھ دعا کرتے اور کہتے کہ اے اللہ ! ہم تیری طرف تیرے نبی کا وسیلہ لے کر آتے تھے تو تو ہمیں بارش دے دیتا تھا، آج ہم تیری طرف تیرے نبی کے چچا کو وسیلہ لے کر آئے ہیں سو تو ہمیں بارش عطا کر دے تو وہ بارش دے دیے جاتے۔ امام بخاری (رح) نے اپنے اپنی صحیح میں حسن بن محمد زعفرانی سے بیان کیا اور انھوں نے کہا : یہ روایت بغیر کسی شک کے انس بن مالک (رض) سے مروی ہے۔ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے ابو محمد کی کتاب سے ان کا نام ساقط ہوگیا ہے۔
(6427) Hazrat Anas (RA) se riwayat hai ki Umar (RA) bin Khattab jab kaht zada hojate to woh Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib ke sath dua karte aur kehte ke aye Allah! Hum teri taraf tere nabi ka wasila lekar aate the to tu humain barish de deta tha, aaj hum teri taraf tere nabi ke chacha ko wasila lekar aye hain so tu humain barish ata kar de to woh barish de diye jate. Imam Bukhari (RH) ne apni sahih mein Hasan bin Muhammad Zufrani se bayan kiya aur unhon ne kaha: Yeh riwayat baghair kisi shak ke Anas bin Malik (RA) se marwi hai. Woh kehte hain ki humare Abu Muhammad ki kitab se unka naam saqit hogaya hai.
