Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 10172
Nafi' narrated that Abdullah bin Umar used to make the animal face the Qibla, then he would slaughter it from the left side of its hump. If it was difficult and he was unable to do so, he would slaughter it from its right side if he could get to it. When he intended to slaughter it, he would make it face the Qibla. He would say, "Bismillah, Allahu Akbar (In the Name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest)." When he slaughtered the sacrifice with his own hand, he would also make it stand and slaughter it with his own hand.

(١٠١٧٢) نافع حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ وہ قربانی کا شعار کوہان کی بائیں جانب سے کرتے لیکن جب کوئی مشکل ہوتی اور اس کی طاقت نہ رکھتے تو اگر ان کے درمیان داخل ہو سکیں تو پھر دائیں جانب سے شعار کرتے اور جب شعار کا ارادہ کرتے تو پہلیہ رخ کرلیتے۔ جب شعار کرتے تو پڑھتے : بِسْمِ اللَّہِ وَاللَّہُ أَکْبَرُ (میں اللہ کے نام سے شروع کرتا ہوں اور اللہ بہت بڑا ہے) اگر شعار اپنے ہاتھ سے کرتے تو پھر نحر بھی کھڑا کر کے اپنے ہاتھ سے کرتے۔
10172 Nafi Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) se naqal farmate hain ke woh qurbani ka shiar kohan ki bayen janib se karte lekin jab koi mushkil hoti aur is ki taqat nah rakhte to agar un ke darmiyan dakhil ho sakien to phir dayen janib se shiar karte aur jab shiar ka irada karte to pehle qibla rukh karlete. Jab shiar karte to parhte: Bismillah-e-Wallah-o-Akbar (mein Allah ke naam se shuru karta hun aur Allah bahut bada hai) agar shiar apne hath se karte to phir nahar bhi khara kar ke apne hath se karte.
١٠١٧٢ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ، أنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يُشْعِرُ بُدْنَهُ مِنَ الشِّقِّ الْأَيْسَرِ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ صِعَابًا تَنْفِرُ بِهِ فَإِذَا لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بَيْنَهُمَا أَشْعَرَ مِنَ الشِّقِّ الْأَيْمَنِ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُشْعِرَهَا وَجَّهَهَا إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ،وَإِذَا أَشْعَرَهَا قَالَ:بِسْمِ اللهِ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ، وَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يُشْعِرُهَا بِيَدِهِ، وَيَنْحَرُهَا بِيَدِهِ قِيَامًا "
