Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 12870
(12870) Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were fourteen hundred in number at Hudaybiyyah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “You are better than all that is on earth today." Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I wish I had my sight. I would show you the place of the tree." (b) It is narrated from Ma'qal bin Yasar that we were fourteen hundred. This is also the saying of the people of Maghazi. You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) divided for two hundred horses on the Day of Khaybar.

(١٢٨٧٠) حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں : ہم حدیبیہ میں چودہ سو کی تعداد میں تھے، رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نی فرمایا : جو بھی زمین پر ہے، تم آج اس سے بہتر ہو۔ جابر (رض) نے کہا : کاش میری آنکھیں ہوتیں۔ میں تم کو درخت کی جگہ دکھاتا۔ (ب) معقل بن یسار سے روایت ہے کہ ہم چودہ سو تھے، اہل مغازی کا بھی یہی قول ہے، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے خیبر کے دن دو سو گھوڑوں کے لیے تقسیم کیا۔
Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) farmate hain : hum Hudaibiya mein chaudah sau ki tadaad mein thay, Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya : jo bhi zameen par hai, tum aaj us se behtar ho. Jabir (RA) ne kaha : kash meri aankhen hoti. mein tum ko darakht ki jaga dikhaata. (b) Maqal bin Yasar se riwayat hai ki hum chaudah sau thay, ahal Maghazi ka bhi yahi qaul hai, aap (SAW) ne Khyber ke din do sau ghoron ke liye taqseem kiya.
١٢٨٧٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ، أنا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ثنا عَمْرٍو،وَسَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ:كُنَّا يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ أَلْفًا وَأَرْبَعَمِائَةٍ،فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَنْتُمُ الْيَوْمَ خَيْرُ مَنْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ "فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ: لَوْلَا بَصَرِي لَأَرَيْتُكُمْ مَوْضِعَ الشَّجَرَةِ. أَخْرَجَاهُ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ، وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ،وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ مَعْقِلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ فَقَالَ:وَنَحْنُ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ مِائَةٍ، وَعَلَى ذَلِكَ أَهْلُ الْمَغَازِي، وَأَنَّهُ قَسَمَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ لِمِائَتَيْ فَرَسٍ
