Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1699
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Shihab (1699) that Sayyidina Umar bin Abdul Aziz once delayed a prayer. Urwah bin Zubair came to him and informed him that Sayyidina Mughirah bin Shubah (may Allah be pleased with him) had once delayed a prayer in Kufa. Abu Masud Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) came to him and said, "O Mughirah! What is this? Don't you know that Jibril (peace be upon him) came and prayed, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed, then he prayed and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed, then he prayed and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed, then he prayed and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed, then he prayed and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed, then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'This is what I have been commanded with.'" Sayyidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Urwah (may Allah be pleased with him), "O Urwah! Do you see what he is saying? Did Jibril (peace be upon him) lead the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in prayer at its time?" Urwah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "This is how Bashir bin Abi Masud narrates from his father." Urwah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would pray the Asr prayer while the sun was still high in the sky and would be in his room before sunset."

(١٦٩٩) ابن شہاب سے روایت ہے کہ سیدنا عمر بن عبد العزیز نے ایک نماز کو مؤخر کردیا، ان کے پاس عروہ بن زبیر تشریف لائے، انھوں نے خبر دی کہ سیدنا مغیرہ بن شعبہ (رض) نے ایک دن کوفہ میں نماز مؤخرکر دی، اس پر ابو مسعود انصاری تشریف لائے اور کہا : اے مغیرہ ! یہ کیا ہے ؟ کیا نہیں تو جانتا ہے کہ جبرائیل (علیہ السلام) آئے، انھوں نے نماز پڑھی اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نماز پڑھائی، پھر انھوں نے نماز پڑھی اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نماز پڑھائی، پھر انھوں نے نماز پڑھی اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نماز پڑھائی، پھر انھوں نے نماز پڑھی اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نماز پڑھائی، پھر انھوں نے نماز پڑھی اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نماز پڑھائی، پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ” اسی کا مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے۔ “ سیدنا عمر (رض) نے عروۃ (رض) سے کہا : اے عروہ ! دیکھ تو کیا بیان کررہا ہے ، کیا جبرائیل (علیہ السلام) نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو نماز کے وقت اقامت کروائی ؟ عروہ (رض) نے کہا : اسی طرح بشیر بن أبی مسعود اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں۔ عروہ (رض) نے کہا : مجھے سیدہ عائشہ (رض) نے حدیث بیان کی کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) عصر کی نماز پڑھتے تھے اور سورج ظاہر ہونے سے پہلے ان کے کمرے میں ہوتا تھا۔

١٦٩٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا السِّرِّيُّ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ح. وَأنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ،قَالَ:وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ، أنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى،قَالَ:قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ،أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ أَخَّرَ الصَّلَاةَ يَوْمًا فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ أَخَّرَ الصَّلَاةَ يَوْمًا وَهُوَ بِالْكُوفَةِ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ فَقَالَ:مَا هَذَا يَا مُغِيرَةُ أَلَيْسَ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ نَزَلَ فَصَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،ثُمَّ قَالَ:بِهَذَا أُمِرْتُ؟فَقَالَ عُمَرُ لِعُرْوَةَ:انْظُرْ مَا تُحَدِّثُ يَا عُرْوَةُ أَوْ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ هُوَ أَقَامَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقْتَ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ: كَذَلِكَ كَانَ بَشِيرُ بْنُ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،قَالَ عُرْوَةُ:وَلَقَدْ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ فِي حُجْرَتِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَظْهَرَ رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى
