Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1788
Sayyiduna Ziyad bin Harith Sada'i narrates that I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and pledged allegiance to Islam. He says, "When the time for the Fajr (dawn) prayer came, you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded me, and I gave the Adhan (call to prayer)." Then I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Shall I pronounce the Iqamah (second call to prayer)?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was looking towards the east at the break of dawn and said, "No, not until the sun has risen." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) got up, relieved himself, then returned to me, and his companions had gathered. You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "O brother of Sada', do you have any water?" I said, "Yes, a little, which will not be enough for you." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Pour it into a vessel and bring it to me." I did so, and you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) placed your palm in the water. Sada'i says, "I saw a spring gushing forth from between your (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fingers." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "If I were not ashamed of my Lord, we would drink and give to drink. Call out to my companions who need water (to take some)." I called out to them, and whoever wished took water. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up for prayer. Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to pronounce the Iqamah, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him, "The brother of Sada' gave the Adhan, and whoever gives the Adhan should also give the Iqamah." Sada'i says, "So I pronounced the Iqamah for the prayer."

(١٧٨٨) سیدنا زیاد بن حارث صدائی فرماتے ہیں کہ میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آیا : اور اسلام پر بیعت کی ۔۔۔ ، فرماتے ہیں کہ جب صبح کی اذان کا وقت ہوا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مجھ کو حکم دیا، میں نے اذان کہی۔ پھر میں کہنے لگا اے اللہ کے رسول ! میں اقامت کہوں ؟ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) مشرقی کنارے کی طرف فجرکو دیکھ رہے اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا نہیں جب تک فجر طلوع نہ ہوجائے، رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اترے، آپ نے قضائے حاجت کی، پھر میری طرف پھرے اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے صحابہ کرام ملے ہوئے تھے، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اے صداء کے بھائی ! کیا تیرے پاس پانی ہے ؟ میں نے کہا : ہاں تھوڑا سا ہے، جو آپ کو کافی نہیں ہوگا۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کو برتن میں انڈیل کر میرے پاس لا، میں نے ایسے ہی کیا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اپنی ہتھیلی پانی میں رکھی۔ صدائی کہتے ہیں : میں نے دیکھا آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی انگلیوں کے درمیان سے چشمہ پھوٹا ہوا تھا، رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اگر میں اپنے رب سے حیا نہ کرتا تو ہم پیتے اور پلاتے، میرے صحابہ کو آواز دے جس کو پانی ضرورت ہے (لے لے) میں نے انھیں آواز دی تو پانی لیا جس نے چاہا، پھر رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے، سیدنا بلال (رض) نے اقامت کہنے کا ارادہ کیا تو ان سے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : صداء کے بھائی نے اذان دی ہے اور جو اذان دے وہی اقامت کہے۔ صدائی کہتے ہیں : میں نے نماز کی اقامت کہی۔

Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) mashriqi kinare ki taraf fajr ko dekh rahe aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya nahin jab tak fajr talua na ho jae, Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) utre, aap ne qazae hajat ki, phir meri taraf phire aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke sahaba karam mile hue the, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : aye Sadaa ke bhai ! kya tere pass pani hai ? maine kaha : haan thora sa hai, jo aap ko kafi nahin hoga. Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : is ko bartan mein undel kar mere pass la, maine aise hi kiya, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne apni hatheli pani mein rakhi. Sadaai kehte hain : maine dekha aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki ungliyon ke darmiyan se chashma phoota hua tha, Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : agar main apne rab se hiya na karta to hum peete aur pilate, mere sahaba ko awaz de jis ko pani zaroorat hai (le le) maine unhen awaz di to pani liya jis ne chaha, phir Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) namaz ke liye kharde hue, Syedna Bilal (Razi Allah Anhu) ne iqamat kehne ka irada kiya to un se Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Sadaa ke bhai ne azaan di hai aur jo azaan de wohi iqamat kahe. Sadaai kehte hain : maine namaz ki iqamat kahi.
١٧٨٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ دُرُسْتُوَيْهِ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ، ح. وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلُّوشَا بِأَسْدَابَادَ هَمْدَانَ أنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَطِيعِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَسَدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ نُعَيْمٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ،قَالَ:سَمِعْتُ زِيَادَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ الصُّدَائِيُّ يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَبَايَعْتُهُ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا طَوِيلًا قَالَ: فَلَمَّا كَانَ أَذَانُ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ أَمَرَنِي فَأَذَّنْتُ فَجَعَلْتُ أَقُولُ: أُقِيمُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى نَاحِيَةِ الْمَشْرِقِ إِلَى الْفَجْرِ فَيَقُولُ:" لَا "حَتَّى إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتَبَرَّزَ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلِيَّ وَقَدْ تَلَاحَقَ أَصْحَابُهُ قَالَ:" هَلْ مِنْ مَاءٍ يَا أَخَا صُدَاءٍ؟ "فَقُلْتُ: لَا إِلَّا شَيْءٌ قَلِيلٌ لَا يَكْفِيكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" اجْعَلْهُ فِي إِنَاءٍ ثُمَّ ائْتِنِي بِهِ "فَفَعَلْتُ فَوَضَعَ كَفَّهُ فِي الْمَاءِ،قَالَ الصُّدَائِيُّ:فَرَأَيْتُ بَيْنَ أُصْبُعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِهِ عَيْنًا تَفُورُ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَوْلَا أَنِّي أَسْتَحْيِي مِنْ رَبِّي لَسَقَيْنَا وَأَسْقَيْنَا نَادِ بِأَصْحَابِي مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ حَاجَةٌ فِي الْمَاءِ "فَنَادَيْتُ فِيهِمْ فَأَخَذَ مَنْ أَرَادَ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ "فَأَرَادَ بِلَالٌ أَنْ يُقِيمَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّ أَخَا صُدَاءٍ هُوَ أَذَّنَ وَمَنْ أَذَّنَ فَهُوَ يُقِيمُ "قَالَ الصُّدَائِيُّ: فَأَقَمْتُ الصَّلَاةَ أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ فِي السُّنَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ غَانِمٍ،عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ مُخْتَصَرًا وَقَالَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ:لَمَّا كَانَ أَوَّلُ أَذَانِ الصُّبْحِ أَمَرَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَذَّنْتُ
