Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1807
(1807) The owner says: The morning call to prayer was always given before dawn; apart from that, we did not keep track of the prayers. Their call to prayer was given when their prescribed time began.

(١٨٠٧) مالک کہتے ہیں : صبح ہمیشہ فجر سے پہلے اذان دی جاتی رہی، اس کے علاوہ نمازیں کا ہم خیال نہیں کرتے تھے، ان کی اذان تب دی جاتی تھی جب ان کا مشروع وقت شروع جاتا۔
(1807) malik kahte hain : subah hamesha fajar se pehle azaan di jati rahi, is ke ilawa namazen ka hum khayaal nahin karte the, in ki azaan tab di jati thi jab in ka mashru waqt shuru jata.
١٨٠٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْمِهْرَجَانِيُّ، نا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ الْمُزَكِّي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ،قَالَ:قَالَ مَالِكٌ:" لَمْ يَزَلِ الصُّبْحُ يُنَادَى بِهَا قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ فَأَمَّا غَيْرُهَا مِنَ الصَّلَوَاتِ فَإِنَّا لَمْ نَرَهَا يُنَادَى بِهَا إِلَّا بَعْدَ أَنْ يَحِلَّ وَقْتُهَا "
