Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 18683
Aslam, the freed slave of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote to his officials that they should not impose Jizya on women, children, and those who have not yet reached the age of one year. They should brand their necks (as a sign of protection) and collect Jizya from their wealth. From those who possess silver, (they should collect) 40 Dirhams and provide them with food similar to the Muslims. From those who possess gold, (they should collect) 4 Dinars. From the people of Syria, (they should collect) one Mudd of wheat and 30 portions of oil. And from the people of Egypt, (they should collect) one Irdabb (an Egyptian measure equal to 24 Sa's) of cloth, as a witness. Nafi' does not remember how much it was. And from the people of Iraq, (they should collect) 15 Sa's of wheat. Ubaydullah says, "I was not told about the cloth."

(١٨٦٨٣) حضرت عمر (رض) کے غلام اسلم فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمر بن خطاب (رض) نے اپنے عاملوں کو خط لکھا تھا کہ جزیہ عورتوں، بچوں اور جس پر ایک سال نہ بیت جائے مقرر نہ کریں اور ان کی گردنوں پر مہر لگائیں اور جزیہ ان کے مالوں کی اصل سے وصول کریں ۔ چاندی والوں پر ٤٠ درھم اور ساتھ مسلمانوں کے کھانے کا انتظام۔ سونے والوں کے ذمہ ٤ دینار اور شامی لوگوں پر ایک مد گندم اور تیل کے تیس اقساط اور مصر والوں پر ایک اردب (چوبیس صاع کے برابر مصری پیمانہ) کپڑے، شھد ہے۔ نافع کو یہ یاد نہیں ہے کہ وہ کتنا تھا اور عراق والوں پر ١٥ صاع گندم کے ہیں۔ عبید اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے کپڑوں کا یاد نہیں دیا۔
(18683) Hazrat Umar (Raz) ke ghulam Aslam farmate hain ki Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (Raz) ne apne amlon ko khat likha tha ki jizya auraton, bachchon aur jis par ek saal na beet jaye muqarar na karen aur unki gardanon par mohar lagayen aur jizya unke malon ki asl se wasool karen. Chandi walon par 40 dirham aur sath Musalmanon ke khane ka intezam. Sone walon ke zimme 4 dinar aur Shami logon par ek mudd gandum aur tel ke tees aqsatt aur Misr walon par ek irdb (chaubees saa ke barabar Misri paimana) kapre, shahad hai. Nafe ko ye yaad nahi hai ki wo kitna tha aur Iraq walon par 15 saa gandum ke hain. Ubaidullah kahte hain ki mujhe kapron ka yaad nahi diya.
١٨٦٨٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ حَمْدَانَ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَسْلَمَ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كَتَبَ إِلَى عُمَّالِهِ أَنْ لَا يَضْرِبُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ، وَلَا يَضْرِبُوهَا إِلَّا عَلَى مَنْ جَرَتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَوَاسِي، وَيَخْتِمَ فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ، وَيَجْعَلَ جِزْيَتَهُمْ عَلَى رُءُوسِهِمْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْوَرِقِ أَرْبَعِينَ دِرْهَمًا وَمَعَ ذَلِكَ أَرْزَاقُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَعَلَى أَهْلِ الذَّهَبِ أَرْبَعَةَ دَنَانِيرَ، وَعَلَى أَهْلِ الشَّامِ مِنْهُمْ مُدَّيْ حِنْطَةٍ، وَثَلَاثَةَ أَقْسَاطِ زَيْتٍ، وَعَلَى أَهْلِ مِصْرَ إِرْدَبَّ حِنْطَةٍ وَكِسْوَةً وَعَسَلًا، لَا يَحْفَظُهُ نَافِعٌ كَمْ ذَلِكَ، وَعَلَى أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ صَاعًا حِنْطَةً.قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ:وَذَكَرَ كِسْوَةً لَا أَحْفَظُهَا
