Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 2044
Muhammad bin 'Amr said: We asked Jabir bin 'Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) about the time of the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayer, so he said: He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would pray the Zuhr prayer at midday, and the 'Asr prayer when the sun was still high, and the Maghrib prayer when the sun had set, and the 'Isha' prayer, if the people gathered early, he would pray early, and if they were late, he would delay it, and he would pray the Fajr prayer in darkness.

(٢٠٤٤) محمد بن عمرو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے جابر بن عبداللہ (رض) سے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی نماز کے وقت کے متعلق سوال کیا تو انھوں نے فرمایا : آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ظہر کی نماز دوپہر میں پڑھتے تھے اور عصر کی نماز اس وقت جب سورج چمک رہا ہوتا تھا اور مغرب کی نماز تب پڑھتے جب سورج غروب ہوجاتا اور عشا کی نماز، جب لوگ جلدی آجاتے تو جلدی پڑھتے اور جب کم ہوتے تو مؤخر کردیتے اور صبح کی نماز اندھیرے میں پڑھتے۔
(2044) Muhammad bin Amro kehte hain ki hum ne Jabir bin Abdullah se Nabi ki namaz ke waqt ke mutalliq sawal kiya to unhon ne farmaya : Aap Zohar ki namaz dopahar mein parhte the aur Asar ki namaz us waqt jab suraj chamak raha hota tha aur Maghrib ki namaz tab parhte jab suraj gharoob hojata aur Isha ki namaz, jab log jaldi aate to jaldi parhte aur jab kam hote to moakhar karte aur Subah ki namaz andhere mein parhte.
٢٠٤٤ -أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ حَدَّثَنِي السَّرِيُّ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا شُعْبَةُ ثنا سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ:سَأَلْنَا جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ وَقْتِ صَلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:" كَانَ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ بِالْهَاجِرَةِ، وَيُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ حَيَّةٌ، وَيُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ إِذَا وَجَبَتْ، وَيُصَلِّي الْعِشَاءَ إِذَا كَثُرَ النَّاسُ عَجَّلَ وَإِذَا قَلُّوا أَخَّرَ، وَيُصَلِّي الصُّبْحَ بِغَلَسٍ "رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ
