Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 2304
Narrated by Sayyidina Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would begin the prayer, he would raise both his hands up to his shoulders. And when he would bow or raise his head from bowing, he would also raise his hands to his ears. However, he would not do so in prostrations. And when he would stand up after two rak'ahs, he would also perform the raising of the hands in the same manner. A narration of Wa'il bin Hujr is also similar to this.

(٢٣٠٤) سیدنا علی (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) جب نماز شروع کرتے تو اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں کو اپنے کندھوں کے برابر تک اٹھاتے اور جب رکوع کرتے یا رکوع سے سر اٹھاتے تب بھی ہاتھوں کو کانوں تک اٹھاتے، لیکن سجدوں میں ایسا نہیں کرتے تھے اور جب دو رکعتوں سے کھڑتے ہوتے تب بھی اسی طرح رفع یدین کرتے۔ وائل بن حجر کی ایک روایت بھی اسی طرح ہے۔
(2304) Saidina Ali (RA) se riwayat hai ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) jab namaz shuru karte to apne donon hathon ko apne kandhon ke barabar tak uthate aur jab ruku karte ya ruku se sar uthate tab bhi hathon ko kaano tak uthate, lekin sajdoo mein aisa nahi karte the aur jab do rakaton se kharate hote tab bhi isi tarah rafay yadain karte. Wael bin Hujr ki aik riwayat bhi isi tarah hai.
٢٣٠٤ - أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الطَّسْتِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رِبْحِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْبَزَّازُ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ مُوسَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الْقُرَشِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ،عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ ⦗٣٨⦘ قَالَ:كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ، وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ، وَكَانَ لَا يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ سُجُودِهِ، وَإِذَا قَامَ مِنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ "وَكَذَلِكَ هُوَ فِي إِحْدَى الرِّوَايَتَيْنِ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ
