Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 4770
Abu Majlaz said: I asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) about Witr, and he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that it is one Rak'ah at the end of the night.

(٤٧٧٠) ابو مجلز فرماتے ہیں : میں نے ابن عمر (رض) سے وتر کے بارے میں سوال کیا تو انھوں نے فرمایا : میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا کہ وہ ایک رکعت ہے رات کے آخری حصہ میں۔
(4770) Abu Majliz farmate hain : main ne Ibn Umar (RA) se witr ke bare mein sawal kiya to unhon ne farmaya : main ne Rasul Allah (SAW) se suna ke woh ek rakat hai raat ke aakhri hissa mein.
٤٧٧٠ -وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ قَالَ:سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنِ الْوِتْرِ،فَقَالَ:سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:" رَكْعَةٌ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ ". أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ هَمَّامِ بْنِ يَحْيَى
