Chapter on one who vomits involuntarily does not break his fast, and one who deliberately induces vomiting breaks his fast.

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 8030
Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) vomited and then broke your fast." He said: "I met Thawban, who was the slave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), in the mosque of Damascus, and I said to him: 'Abu Darda' told me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) vomited and then broke his fast.' He said: 'He told the truth, and I was pouring the water.'" This hadith is different in terms of its chain of narration. If it is authentic, then it should be interpreted to mean that if the vomiting was intentional and your fast was a voluntary fast.

(٨٠٣٠) ابودرداء (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے قے کی، پھر افطار کرلیا۔ وہ کہتے ہیں : میں ثوبان سے ملا جو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا غلام تھا دمشق کی مسجد میں تو میں نے ان سے کہا : ابو درداء نے مجھے خبر دی کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے قے کی اور افطارکردیاتو انھوں نے کہ سچ کہا ہے اور میں پانی انڈیل رہاتھا۔ یہ حدیث سند کے لحاظ سے مختلف ہے اگر صحیح ہے تو پھر اس پر محمول ہو کہ اگر قے جان بوجھ کر کی ہے اور آپ کا نفلی روزہ تھا۔
(8030) abodarda (rz) farmate hain ki aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne qay ki phir iftar karliya woh kahte hain main thoban se mila jo rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ka ghulam tha dimashq ki masjid mein to maine unse kaha abu darda ne mujhe khabar di ki rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne qay ki aur iftarkardiya to unhon ne kaha sach kaha hai aur main pani undel raha tha yeh hadees sanad ke lihaz se mukhtalif hai agar sahi hai to phir is par mahmul ho ki agar qay jan boojh kar ki hai aur aap ka nafli roza tha.
٨٠٣٠ - فَأَمَّا الْحَدِيثُ الَّذِي أَخْبَرَنَاهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَنَّادٍ، ثنا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرِو بْنِ أَبِي الْحَجَّاجِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، ثنا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ،قَالَ:حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ يَعِيشَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ،حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ:حَدَّثَنِي مَعْدَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ،أَنَّ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ أَخْبَرَهُ:أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاءَ فَأَفْطَرَ،قَالَ:فَلَقِيتُ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَسْجِدِ دِمَشْقَ،فَقُلْتُ لَهُ:إِنَّ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاءَ فَأَفْطَرَ،فَقَالَ:صَدَقَ، وَأَنَا صَبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَضُوءَهُ، فَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ مُخْتَلَفٌ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ، فَإِنْ صَحَّ فَهُوَ مَحْمُولٌ عَلَى مَا لَوْ تَقَيَّأَ عَامِدًا، وَكَأَنَّهُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ مُتَطَوِّعًا بِصَوْمِهِ، وَرُوِيَ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ
