بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {لاَ يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِين

Sahih al-Bukhari 2831
Narrated Al-Bara: When the Divine Inspiration: Those of the believers who sit (at home), was revealed the Prophet sent for Zaid (bin Thabit) who came with a shoulder-blade and wrote on it. Ibn Um-Maktum complained about his blindness and on that the following revelation came: Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) except those who are disabled (by injury, or are blind or lame etc.) and those who strive hard and fight in the Way of Allah with their wealth and lives). (4.95)
حضرت براء ؓسے روایت ہے، انھوں نے کہا: جب یہ آیت نازل ہوئی: ’’اہل ایمان میں سے جو لوگ جہاد سے بیٹھ رہیں۔ ۔ ۔ آخر آیت تک‘‘ تو آپ نے حضرت زید بن ثابت ؓ کو بلایاتو وہ کندھے کی ہڈی لائے جس پر اس آیت کو لکھا اتنے میں ابن اُ م مکتوم ؓ آئے اور شکوہ کیا کہ میں تو اندھا ہوں۔ اس وقت اللہ تعالیٰ نے ﴿غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ﴾ یعنی ’’بغیر کسی معذوری کے‘‘ الفاظ نازل فرمائے۔
Hazrat Bara (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: Jab yeh ayat nazil hui: "Ahl-e-iman mein se jo log jihad se baith rahein... aakhir ayat tak" to Aap ne Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (Radi Allahu Anhu) ko bulaya to wo kandhay ki haddi laye jis par is ayat ko likha itne mein Ibn-e-Umm Maktum (Radi Allahu Anhu) aaye aur shikwah kiya ke mein to andha hoon. Is waqt Allah Ta'ala ne "Ghayru Ulil Zarar" yani "Baghair kisi mazuri ke" alfaz nazil farmaye.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، يَقُولُ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ لا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سورة النساء آية 95 دَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَيْدًا فَجَاءَ بِكَتِفٍ فَكَتَبَهَا وَشَكَا ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ ضَرَارَتَهُ فَنَزَلَتْ لا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ سورة النساء آية 95 .
