Sahih al-Bukhari 3565
Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) did not use to raise his hands (very high) in his invocations except in the Istisqa (praying for the rain) in which he used to raise his hands so high that one could see the whiteness of his armpits.
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، انھوں نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نماز استسقاء کے علاوہ کسی دعا میں (مبالغہ کے ساتھ) ہاتھ نہیں اُٹھاتے تھے۔ نماز استسقاء میں اس حد تک اٹھاتے کہ آپ کی بغلوں کی سفیدی دیکھ لی جاسکتی تھی۔
Hazrat Anas (Radi Allahu Taala Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne bayan kiya ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) namaz-e-istisqa ke alawa kisi dua mein (mubalgha ke saath) hath nahi uthate thay. Namaz-e-istisqa mein is had tak uthate ke Aap ki baghlon ki safedi dekh li ja sakti thi.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، أَنَّ أَنَسًا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : كَانَ لَا يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ دُعَائِهِ إِلَّا فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ ، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ .
