Sahih al-Bukhari 4469
Abdullah bin Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sent troops appointed Usama bin Zaid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) as their commander. The people criticized his leadership. Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) got up and said, ‘if you (people) are criticizing his (Usama's) leadership you used to criticize the leadership of his father before. By Allah, he (Zaid) deserved the leadership, and he used to be one of the most beloved persons to me, and now this (his son, Usama) is one of the most beloved persons to me after him.’
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ ہی سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ایک لشکر تیار کیا اوراس پر حضرت اسامہ بن زید ؓ کو امیر مقرر کیا۔ کچھ لوگوں نے ان کی امارت پر اعتراض کیا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے خطبہ دیتے ہوئے فرمایا: ’’اگر تم اس کی امارت پر اعتراض کرتے ہو تو اس سے پہلے تم نے ان کے والد کی امارت پر بھی اعتراض کیا تھا۔ اللہ کی قسم! وہ امارت کے لائق اوراہل تھے اورمجھے لوگوں سے زیادہ عزیز تھے اور بلاشبہ ان کے بعد یہ (اسامہ) مجھے لوگوں سے زیادہ محبوب ہے۔‘‘
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) hi se riwayat hai ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne ek lashkar tayyar kiya aur us par Hazrat Usama bin Zaid (Radi Allahu Anhu) ko ameer muqarrar kiya. Kuch logon ne un ki amarat par aitraz kiya to Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne khutba dete hue farmaya: ''Agar tum is ki amarat par aitraz karte ho to is se pehle tum ne un ke walid ki amarat par bhi aitraz kiya tha. Allah ki qasam! woh amarat ke laiq aur ahl the aur mujhe logon se zyada azeez the aur bilashuba un ke baad yeh (Usama) mujhe logon se zyada mehboob hai.''"
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ , حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , بَعَثَ بَعْثًا وَأَمَّرَ عَلَيْهِمْ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ ، فَطَعَنَ النَّاسُ فِي إِمَارَتِهِ ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : إِنْ تَطْعَنُوا فِي إِمَارَتِهِ فَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ تَطْعَنُونَ فِي إِمَارَةِ أَبِيهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ إِنْ كَانَ لَخَلِيقًا لِلْإِمَارَةِ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ لَمِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ ، وَإِنَّ هَذَا لَمِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ بَعْدَهُ .
