The Statement of Allah the Most High: "Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter." (V.54:46)

Sahih al-Bukhari 4877
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: While in his tent on the day the Battle of Badr, the Prophet said, O Allah! I request You (to fulfill) Your promise and contract. O Allah! It You wish that the Believers be destroyed). You will never be worshipped henceforth. On that, Abu Bakr held the Prophet by the hand and said, That is enough, O Allah's Messenger ! You have appealed to your Lord too pressingly The Prophet was wearing his armor and then went out reciting: 'Their multitude will be put to flight and they will show their backs. Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more previous and most bitter.' (54.45-46)
حضرت ابن عباس ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ بدر کے دن ایک خیمے میں تھے۔ آپ نے بایں الفاظ دعا کی: ’’اے اللہ! میں تجھے تیرا عہد اور تیرا وعدہ یاد دلاتا ہوں، اے اللہ! اگر تو چاہے (تو مسلمانوں کو فنا کر دے) تو آج کے بعد پھر کبھی تیری عبادت نہیں کی جائے گی۔‘‘ اس پر حضرت ابوبکر ؓ نے آپ کا ہاتھ پکڑ کر عرض کی: اللہ کے رسول! آپ اپنے رب سے خوب گریہ و زاری سے دعا کر چکے ہیں، اب بس کیجیے۔ اس وقت آپ ﷺ زرہ پہنے ہوئے تھے۔ آپ باہر تشریف لائے تو آپ کی زبان پر یہ آیت تھی: ’’عنقریب اس جماعت کو شکست دی جائے گی اور وہ پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگے گی، بلکہ قیامت ان کے وعدے کا وقت ہے اور قیامت بہت بڑی آفت اور انتہائی کڑوی چیز ہے۔‘‘
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (Radiyallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Badr ke din ek khaime mein thay. Aap ne ba-een alfaaz dua ki: ''Ae Allah! Main tujhe tera ahd aur tera waada yaad dilata hoon, ae Allah! Agar tu chahe (to musalmanon ko fana kar de) to aaj ke baad phir kabhi teri ibadat nahi ki jaye gi.'' Is par Hazrat Abu Bakr (Radiyallahu Anhu) ne aap ka haath pakad kar arz ki: Allah ke Rasool! Aap apne Rabb se khoob girya-o-zaari se dua kar chuke hain, ab bas kijiye. Is waqt aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) zirrah pehne hue thay. Aap baahar tashreef laye to aap ki zaban par yeh aayat thi: ''Anqareeb is jama'at ko shikast di jaye gi aur woh peeth pher kar bhage gi, balke qayamat in ke waade ka waqt hai aur qayamat bohat badi aafat aur nihayat kadwi cheez hai.''
حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَهُوَ فِي قُبَّةٍ لَهُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ : أَنْشُدُكَ عَهْدَكَ وَوَعْدَكَ ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ شِئْتَ لَمْ تُعْبَدْ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ أَبَدًا ، فَأَخَذَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِيَدِهِ ، وَقَالَ : حَسْبُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَقَدْ أَلْحَحْتَ عَلَى رَبِّكَ وَهُوَ فِي الدِّرْعِ ، فَخَرَجَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ { 45 } بَلِ السَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَالسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَى وَأَمَرُّ { 46 } سورة القمر آية 45-46 .
