Sahih al-Bukhari 494
Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that whenever Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came out on `Id day, he used to order that a Harba (a short spear) to be planted in front of him (as a Sutra for his prayer) and then he used to pray facing it with the people behind him and used to do the same while on a journey. After the Prophet (ﷺ) , this practice was adopted by the Muslim rulers (who followed his traditions).
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جب عید کے دن (مدینے سے) باہر تشریف لے جائے تو چھوٹا نیزہ گاڑنے کا حکم دیتے۔ جب اس کی تعمیل کر دی جاتی تو آپ اس کی طرف رخ کر کے نماز پڑھتے اور لوگ آپ کے پیچھے کھڑے ہوتے تھے۔ دوران سفر میں بھی ایسا ہی کرتے تھے۔ (مسلمانوں کے) خلفاء نے بھی اسی وجہ سے برچھا ساتھ رکھنے کی عادت اپنا لی ہے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) jab eid ke din (Madine se) bahar tashreef le jaye to chota neza gaarne ka hukm dete. Jab is ki tameel kar di jati to aap is ki taraf rukh kar ke namaz parhte aur log aap ke peeche khare hotay thay. Duran-e-safar mein bhi aisa hi karte thay. (Musalmanon ke) Khulafa ne bhi isi wajah se barcha sath rakhne ki aadat apna li hai.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ أَمَرَ بِالْحَرْبَةِ ، فَتُوضَعُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَيُصَلِّي إِلَيْهَا وَالنَّاسُ وَرَاءَهُ ، وَكَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ فِي السَّفَرِ ، فَمِنْ ثَمَّ اتَّخَذَهَا الْأُمَرَاءُ .
