Chapter: What is disliked of not marrying and of getting castrated

باب مَا يُكْرَهُ مِنَ التَّبَتُّلِ وَالْخِصَاءِ
Sahih al-Bukhari 5074
Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) prevented Uthman bin Mazun from that (not marrying), and had he allowed him, we would have got ourselves castrated.
سیدنا سعد بن ابی وقاص ؓ سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا نبی ﷺ نے سیدنا عثمان بن معظون ؓ کو عورتوں سے الگ رہنے کی اجازت نہیں دی تھی۔ اگر آپ انہیں اجازت دے دیتے تو ہم اپنے آپ کو خصی کرلیتے۔
Sayyidna Saad bin Abi Waqqas (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai unhon ne kaha Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne Sayyidna Usman bin Maz'oon (Radi Allahu Anhu) ko auraton se alag rehne ki ijazat nahin di thi. Agar aap unhein ijazat de dete to hum apne aap ko khasi kar lete.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ :أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، يَقُولُ : لَقَدْ رَدَّ ذَلِكَ يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ ، وَلَوْ أَجَازَ لَهُ التَّبَتُّلَ لَاخْتَصَيْنَا .
