Sahih al-Bukhari 5197
Abdullah bin Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that during the lifetime of Allah’s Prophet (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم), the sun eclipsed. Allah’s Prophet (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) offered the prayer of the eclipse and so did the people along with him. He performed a long Qiyam (standing posture) during which Surat-al-Baqara could have been recited; then he performed a pro-longed bowing, then raised his head and stood for a long time which was slightly less than that of the first Qiyam (and recited Qur'an). Then he performed a prolonged bowing again, but the period was shorter than the period of the first bowing, then he stood up and then prostrated. Again, he stood up, but this time the period of standing was less than the first standing. Then he performed a prolonged bowing but of a lesser duration than the first, then he stood up again for a long time but for a lesser duration than the first. Then he performed a prolonged bowing but of lesser duration than the first, and then he again stood up, and then prostrated and then finished his prayer. By then the sun eclipse had cleared. The Prophet (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) then said, ‘the sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah, and they do not eclipse because of the death or birth of someone, so when you observe the eclipse, remember Allah (offer the eclipse prayer).’ They (the people) said, ‘O Allah’s Prophet (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم), we saw you stretching your hand to take something at this place of yours, then we saw you stepping backward.’ He said, ‘I saw Paradise, and I stretched my hand to pluck a bunch (of grapes), and had I plucked it, you would have eaten of it as long as this world exists. Then I saw the Hellfire, and I have never seen such a horrible sight as that, and I saw that most of its dwellers were women.’ The people asked, ‘O Allah’s Prophet (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم), what is the reason for that?’ He replied, ‘because of their ungratefulness.’ It was said. ‘do they disbelieve in Allah (are they ungrateful to Allah)?’ He replied, ‘they are not thankful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors done to them. Even if you do good to one of them all your life, when she seems some harshness from you, she will say, ‘I have never seen any good from you.’
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے عہد مبارک میں سورج کو گرہن لگا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے لوگوں کے ساتھ نماز گرہن پڑھی۔ آپ نے سورہ بقرہ پڑھنے کی مقدار طویل قیام کیا، پھر لمبا رکوع کیا، رکوع سے سر اٹھا کر پھر لمبا قیام فرمایا اور یہ قیام پہلے قیام سے کچھ مختصر تھا، پھر آپ نے دوسرا طویل رکوع کیا جو پہلے رکوع سے کم تھا پھر سر اٹھایا اس کے بعد سجدہ کیا اور کھڑے ہو گئے۔ پھر آپ نے طویل رکوع کیا جو پہلی رکعت کے رکوع سے کم تھا پھر اپنا سر اٹھایا اور طویل قیام کیا یہ قیام پہلے سے کچھ کم تھا، پھر رکوع کیا اور یہ رکوع پہلے رکوع سے کچھ کم طویل تھا پھر اٹھایا اور سجدے میں چلے گئے، جب آپ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو سورج روشن ہو چکا تھا اس کے بعد آپ نے فرمایا: ”سورج اور چاند اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے دو نشانیاں ہیں، انہیں کسی کی موت و حیات کی وجہ سے گرہن نہیں لگتا، اس لیے جب تم گرہن دیکھو تو اللہ کو یاد کرو۔“ صحابہ کرام ؓ نے عرض کی: اللہ کے رسول! ہم نے آپ کو دیکھا کہ آپ اپنی جگہ کھڑے کھڑے کوئی چیز پکڑ رہے تھے۔ پھر ہم نے آپ کو دیکھا کہ آپ پیچھے ہٹ رہے ہیں۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”میں نے جنت دیکھی تھی یا مجھے دکھائی گئی تھی۔ میں نے اس کا خوشہ توڑنے کے لیے ہاتھ بڑھایا تھا۔ اگر میں اس توڑ لیتا تو تم رہتی دنیا تک اسے کھاتے رہتے۔ اور مین نے دوزخ کو بھی دیکھا۔ میں نے آج جیسا قبیح منظر کبھی نہں دیکھا تھا۔ میں نے مشاہدہ کیا کہ دوزخ میں اکثریت عورتوں کی تھی۔“ ”لوگوں نے عرض کی: اللہ کے رسول! ایسا کیوں تھا؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ان کے کفر کی وجہ سے۔“ کہا گیا: کیا وہ اللہ کے ساتھ کفر کرتی ہیں؟ فرمایا: ”نہیں بلکہ وہ اپنے شوہر کی ناشکری کرتی ہیں اور اس کے احسان کو فراموش کر دیتی ہیں۔ اگر تم ان میں سے کسی ایک ساتھ زندگی بھر بھی حسن سلوک کا معاملہ کرو، پھر وہ تمہاری طرف سے کوئی تقصیر دیکھے تو فوراً کہہ دیتی ہے کہ میں نے تو تم سے کبھی بھلائی دیکھی ہی نہیں۔“
Sayyidna Abdullah bin Abbas (radi Allahu anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: ke Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ke ahd-e-mubarak mein sooraj ko garahan laga to Rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne logon ke sath namaz-e-garahan parhi. Aap ne Surah Baqarah parhne ki miqdar taveel qiyam kiya, phir lamba ruku kiya, ruku se sar utha kar phir lamba qiyam farmaya aur yeh qiyam pehle qiyam se kuch mukhtasar tha, phir Aap ne doosra taveel ruku kiya jo pehle ruku se kam tha phir sar uthaya is ke baad sajda kiya aur khare ho gaye. Phir Aap ne taveel ruku kiya jo pehli rakat ke ruku se kam tha phir apna sar uthaya aur taveel qiyam kiya yeh qiyam pehle se kuch kam tha, phir ruku kiya aur yeh ruku pehle ruku se kuch kam taveel tha phir uthaya aur sajde mein chale gaye, jab Aap namaz se farigh huay to sooraj roshan ho chuka tha is ke baad Aap ne farmaya: "Sooraj aur chand Allah ki nishaniyon mein se do nishaniyan hain, inhen kisi ki maut-o-hayat ki wajah se garahan nahi lagta, is liye jab tum garahan dekho to Allah ko yaad karo." Sahaba karam (radi Allahu anhum) ne arz ki: Allah ke Rasool! Hum ne Aap ko dekha ke Aap apni jagah khare khare koi cheez pakar rahe thay. Phir hum ne Aap ko dekha ke Aap peeche hat rahe hain. Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne farmaya: "Mein ne jannat dekhi thi ya mujhe dikhai gayi thi. Mein ne is ka khosha torne ke liye hath barhaya tha. Agar mein ise tor leta to tum rehti dunya tak ise khate rehte. Aur mein ne dozakh ko bhi dekha. Mein ne aaj jaisa qabeeh manzar kabhi nahi dekha tha. Mein ne mushahida kiya ke dozakh mein aksariyat aurton ki thi." Logon ne arz ki: Allah ke Rasool! Aisa kyun tha? Aap ne farmaya: "In ke kufar ki wajah se." Kaha gaya: Kya woh Allah ke sath kufar karti hain? Farmaya: "Nahi balkay woh apne shohar ki nashukri karti hain aur is ke ihsan ko faramosh kar deti hain. Agar tum in mein se kisi aik ke sath zindagi bhar bhi husn-e-suluq ka muamla karo, phir woh tumhari taraf se koi taqsir dekhe to fauran keh deti hai ke mein ne to tum se kabhi bhalai dekhi hi nahi."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالنَّاسُ مَعَهُ ، فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا نَحْوًا مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلًا ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلًا وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلًا وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلًا وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الْأَوَّلِ ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ وَقَدْ تَجَلَّتِ الشَّمْسُ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَا يَخْسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، رَأَيْنَاكَ تَنَاوَلْتَ شَيْئًا فِي مَقَامِكَ هَذَا ، ثُمَّ رَأَيْنَاكَ تَكَعْكَعْتَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ الْجَنَّةَ أَوْ أُرِيتُ الْجَنَّةَ ، فَتَنَاوَلْتُ مِنْهَا عُنْقُودًا وَلَوْ أَخَذْتُهُ لَأَكَلْتُمْ مِنْهُ مَا بَقِيَتِ الدُّنْيَا ، وَرَأَيْتُ النَّارَ فَلَمْ أَرَ كَالْيَوْمِ مَنْظَرًا قَطُّ وَرَأَيْتُ أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِهَا النِّسَاءَ ، قَالُوا : لِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : بِكُفْرِهِنَّ ، قِيلَ : يَكْفُرْنَ بِاللَّهِ ، قَالَ : يَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ وَيَكْفُرْنَ الْإِحْسَانَ لَوْ أَحْسَنْتَ إِلَى إِحْدَاهُنَّ الدَّهْرَ ، ثُمَّ رَأَتْ مِنْكَ شَيْئًا ، قَالَتْ : مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ .
