Sahih al-Bukhari 6448
Abu Wail narrated that we paid a visit to Khabbab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) who was sick, and he said, ‘we migrated with the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) for Allah's Sake and our wages became due on Allah. Some of us died without having received anything of the wages, and one of them was Mus`ab bin Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه), who was martyred on the day of the battle of Uhud, leaving only one sheet (to shroud him in). If we covered his head with it, his feet became uncovered, and if we covered his feet with it, his head became uncovered. So, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ordered us to cover his head with it and put some Idhkhir (a kind of grass) over his feet. On the other hand, some of us have had the fruits (of our good deed) and are plucking them (in this world).
حضرت ابو وائل سے روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا: ہم نے حضرت خباب بن ارت ؓ کی عیادت کی تو انہوں نے فرمایا: ہم نے نبی ﷺ کے ہمراہ اللہ تعالٰی کی رضا جوئی کے لیے ہجرت کی تو ہمارا اجر اللہ کے ذمے ثابت ہو گیا۔ ہم میں سے کچھ ساتھی اللہ کو پیارے ہوگئے اور انہوں نے اپنے اجر سے کچھ نہ لیا۔ ان میں حضرت مصعب بن عمیر ؓ جو غزوہ احد میں شہید ہوئے تھے۔ انہوں نے (ترکےمیں) صرف ایک چادر چھوڑی تھی، جب ہم بطور کفن ان کا سر ڈھانپتے تو ان کے پاؤں چھپاتے تو سر ننگا ہو جاتا، چنانچہ نبی ﷺ نے ہمیں حکم دیا کہ ان کا سر ڈھانپ دیں اور پاؤں پر اذخر گھاس ڈال دیں۔ اور ہم میں سے کچھ وہ بھی ہیں جن کے پھل دنیا میں خوب پکے اور وہ مزے سے چن چن کر کھا رہے ہیں۔
Hazrat Abu Wail se riwayat hai unhon ne kaha: Hum ne Hazrat Khabbab bin Arat (Razi Allahu Anhu) ki ayadat ki toh unhon ne farmaya: Hum ne Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke hamrah Allah Ta'ala ki raza-joi ke liye hijrat ki toh hamara ajr Allah ke zimme sabit ho gaya. Hum mein se kuch saathi Allah ko pyare ho gaye aur unhon ne apne ajr se kuch na liya. Un mein Hazrat Mus'ab bin Umair (Razi Allahu Anhu) jo Ghazwa-e-Uhud mein shaheed hue the. Unhon ne (tarke mein) sirf ek chadar chhodi thi, jab hum b-taur-e-kafan un ka sar dhanpte toh un ke paon chhup jate, jab paon dhanpte toh sar nanga ho jata, chunanche Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne humein hukm diya ke un ka sar dhamp dein aur paon par izkhir ghaas daal dein. Aur hum mein se kuch woh bhi hain jin ke phal dunya mein khoob pake aur woh maze se chun chun kar kha rahe hain.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ ، قَالَ : عُدْنَا خَبَّابًا ، فَقَالَ هَاجَرْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نُرِيدُ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ ، فَوَقَعَ أَجْرُنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ ، فَمِنَّا مَنْ مَضَى لَمْ يَأْخُذْ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ مِنْهُمْ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَتَرَكَ نَمِرَةً ، فَإِذَا غَطَّيْنَا رَأْسَهُ بَدَتْ رِجْلَاهُ ، وَإِذَا غَطَّيْنَا رِجْلَيْهِ بَدَا رَأْسُهُ ، فَأَمَرَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُغَطِّيَ رَأْسَهُ وَنَجْعَلَ عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْإِذْخِرِ ، وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَيْنَعَتْ لَهُ ثَمَرَتُهُ فَهُوَ يَهْدِبُهَا .
