Sahih al-Bukhari 735
Salim bin Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that his father said, "Allah's Apostle ( صلىہللا عليه و آله وسلم) used to raise both his hands up to the level of his shoulders when opening the prayer; and on saying the Takbir for bowing. And on raising his head from bowing he used to do the same and then say "Sami`allahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa lakal hamd." And he did not do that (i.e. raising his hands) in prostrations.
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جب نماز شروع کرتے تو اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اپنے کندھوں کے برابر اٹھاتے۔ جب رکوع کے لیے اللہ أکبر کہتے، جب اپنا سر رکوع سے اٹھاتے تب بھی اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اسی طرح اٹھاتے اور سمع الله لمن حمده ربنا ولك الحمد (دونوں) کہتے لیکن سجدوں میں یہ عمل نہ کرتے تھے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radiyallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) jab namaz shuru karte to apne dono hath apne kandhon ke barabar uthate. Jab ruku ke liye Allahu Akbar kehte, jab apna sar ruku se uthate tab bhi apne dono hath isi tarah uthate aur Sami Allahu Liman Hamidah, Rabbana Lakal Hamd (dono) kehte lekin sajdon mein yeh amal na karte thay.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ ، إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ وَإِذَا كَبَّرَ لِلرُّكُوعِ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ رَفَعَهُمَا ، كَذَلِكَ أَيْضًا ، وَقَالَ : سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ ، وَكَانَ لَا يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ فِي السُّجُودِ .
