Sahih al-Bukhari 924
Narrated Aisha: Once in the middle of the night Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) went out and prayed in the mosque and some men prayed with him. The next morning the people spoke about it and so more people gathered and prayed with him (in the second night). They circulated the news in the morning, and so, on the third night the number of people increased greatly. Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) came out and they prayed behind him. On the fourth night the mosque was overwhelmed by the people till it could not accommodate them. Allah's Apostle came out only for the Fajr prayer and when he finished the prayer, he faced the people and recited Tashah-hud (I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is His Apostle), and then said, Amma ba'du. Verily your presence (in the mosque at night) was not hidden from me, but I was afraid that this prayer (Prayer of Tahajjud) might be made compulsory and you might not be able to carry it out.
حضرت عائشہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ ایک مرتبہ آدھی رات کے وقت گھر سے نکلے تو مسجد میں آ کر نماز پڑھی۔ کچھ لوگوں نے بھی آپ کے ساتھ نماز ادا کی۔ صبح کے وقت لوگ باتیں کرنے لگے تو دوسرے روز ان سے بھی زیادہ لوگ جمع ہو گئے اور انہوں نے بھی رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ہمراہ نماز ادا کی۔ صبح کو لوگوں نے ایک دوسرے سے بیان کیا تو تیسری رات ان سے بھی زیادہ لوگ اکٹھے ہو گئے، چنانچہ رسول اللہ ﷺ تشریف لائے تو لوگوں نے آپ کے ساتھ نماز ادا کی۔ پھر جب چوتھی رات ہوئی تو لوگ اس قدر جمع ہوئے کہ مسجد میں گنجائش نہ رہی۔ رسول اللہ ﷺ نماز فجر کے لیے باہر تشریف لائے۔ جب فجر کی نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو لوگوں کی طرف توجہ فرمائی۔ تشہد، یعنی خطبہ پڑھتے ہوئے فرمایا: ’’أمابعد! بےشک تمہارا اجتماع مجھ سے مخفی نہ تھا لیکن مجھے خوف ہوا کہ مبادا تم پر فرض ہو جائے تو پھر تم اس کے ادا کرنے سے عاجز ہو جاؤ گے۔‘‘ اس کی یونس بن یزید نے متابعت کی ہے۔‘‘
Hazrat Aisha (Radiyallahu Anha) se riwayat hai ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ek martaba aadhi raat ke waqt ghar se nikle to masjid mein aa kar namaz parhi. Kuch logon ne bhi aap ke sath namaz ada ki. Subah ke waqt log batein karne lage to dusre roz un se bhi zyada log jama ho gaye aur unhon ne bhi Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke hamrah namaz ada ki. Subah ko logon ne ek dusre se bayan kiya to teesri raat un se bhi zyada log ikhatte ho gaye, chunanche Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) tashreef laye to logon ne aap ke sath namaz ada ki. Phir jab chauthi raat hui to log is qadar jama hue ke masjid mein gunjayish na rahi. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) namaz-e-fajar ke liye bahar tashreef laye. Jab fajar ki namaz se farigh hue to logon ki taraf tawajje farmai. Tashahhud, yani khutba parhte hue farmaya: ''Amma Baad! Beshak tumhara ijtima mujh se makhfi na tha lekin mujhe khauf hua ke mabada tum par farz ho jaye to phir tum is ke ada karne se aajiz ho jao ge.'' Is ki Yunus bin Yazid ne mutabiyat ki hai.''
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ ، فَصَلَّى فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَصَلَّى رِجَالٌ بِصَلَاتِهِ ، فَأَصْبَحَ النَّاسُ فَتَحَدَّثُوا فَاجْتَمَعَ أَكْثَرُ مِنْهُمْ فَصَلَّوْا مَعَهُ ، فَأَصْبَحَ النَّاسُ فَتَحَدَّثُوا فَكَثُرَ أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ مِنَ اللَّيْلَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ ، فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّوْا بِصَلَاتِهِ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَتِ اللَّيْلَةُ الرَّابِعَةُ عَجَزَ الْمَسْجِدُ عَنْ أَهْلِهِ حَتَّى خَرَجَ لِصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى الْفَجْرَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَتَشَهَّدَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : أَمَّا بَعْدُ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَخْفَ عَلَيَّ مَكَانُكُمْ لَكِنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ تُفْرَضَ عَلَيْكُمْ فَتَعْجِزُوا عَنْهَا ، تَابَعَهُ يُونُسُ .
