Sunan al-Darimi 2482
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would launch attacks (on the enemy) at the time of Fajr prayer and try to listen (to the Adhan). If he heard the Adhan (of Fajr), he would not attack, and if he did not hear it, he would attack.

سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نمازِ فجر کے وقت (دشمن پر) حملہ کرتے تھے اور سننے کی کوشش کرتے تھے، اگر (فجر کی) اذان سن لیتے تو پھر حملہ نہ کرتے اور اذان سنائی نہ دیتی تو پھر حملہ کر دیتے تھے۔
Sayyidna Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Namaz e Fajr ke waqt (dushman par) hamla karte the aur sunne ki koshish karte the, agar (Fajr ki) azan sun lete to phir hamla na karte aur azan sunaai na deti to phir hamla kar dete the.
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ: أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ "يُغِيرُ عِنْدَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ، وَكَانَ يَسْتَمِعُ، فَإِنْ سَمِعَ أَذَانًا، أَمْسَكَ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ أَذَانًا، أَغَارَ".
