Sunan al-Darimi 2676
Saidina Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A companion came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "Assalamu alaikum (Peace be upon you)." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied and said: "Ten." Then another companion came and greeted him in the same way: "Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah (Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah)." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also responded to him and said: "Twenty." Then another companion came, greeted him, and said: "Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu (Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you)." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied and said: "Thirty" (meaning there are thirty rewards for these three phrases).

سیدنا عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: ایک صحابی نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور کہا: السلام علیکم، آپ ﷺ نے جواب دیا اور فرمایا: ”دس۔“ پھر دوسرے صحابی آئے اور اس طرح سلام کیا: السلام علیکم ورحمۃ اللہ۔ آپ ﷺ نے اس کا بھی جواب دیا اور فرمایا: ”بیس۔“ پھر ایک اور صحابی حاضر ہوئے، سلام کیا اور کہا: السلام علیکم ورحمۃ الله و برکاتہ۔ آپ ﷺ نے جواب دیا اور فرمایا: ”تیس“ (یعنی ان کے لئے تین کلموں پر تیس نیکیاں ہیں)۔
Sayyidna Imran bin Husain (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: Ek Sahabi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hue aur kaha: Assalamu Alaikum, Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne jawab diya aur farmaya: "Das". Phir dusre Sahabi aaye aur is tarah salam kiya: Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne iska bhi jawab diya aur farmaya: "Bees". Phir ek aur Sahabi hazir hue, salam kiya aur kaha: Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatahu. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne jawab diya aur farmaya: "Tees" (yani un ke liye teen kalmon par tees nekiyan hain).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ، فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ: "عَشْرٌ". ثُمَّ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ، فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ:"عِشْرُونَ". ثُمَّ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ:"ثَلَاثُونَ".
