Sunan al-Darimi 2677
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Muhajir bin Qunfudh (may Allah be pleased with him) that he greeted the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was urinating, so he did not respond to his greeting. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ablution and then responded to the greeting.

سیدنا مہاجر بن قنفذ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ انہوں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے سلام کیا۔ اس وقت آپ ﷺ پیشاب کر رہے تھے تو آپ نے ان کے سلام کا جواب نہیں دیا، پھر آپ ﷺ نے وضو کیا، تب سلام کا جواب دیا۔

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ الْحُضَيْنِ، عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ بْنِ قُنْفُذٍ: أَنَّهُ سَلَّمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَبُولُ، "فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ حَتَّى تَوَضَّأَ، فَلَمَّا تَوَضَّأَ، رَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ".
