Sunan al-Darimi 2910
Ata ibn Abi Rabah and Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, said regarding the issue of parents with a husband: The husband receives half, the mother receives a third of the entire estate, and what remains is for the father.

عطاء رحمہ اللہ اور سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما دونوں نے خاوند کے ساتھ ماں باپ کے مسئلہ میں کہا: خاوند کو نصف اور ماں کے لئے کل مال کا ثلث اور جو بچے وہ باپ کا ہے۔
Ata'a rehmatullah alaih aur Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a donon ne khaavand ke sath maan baap ke masle me kaha: khaavand ko nisf aur maan ke liye kul maal ka suls aur jo bache wo baap ka hai.
(حديث موقوف) حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، وَحَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّهُمَا قَالَا فِي زَوْجٍ وَأَبَوَيْنِ: "لِلزَّوْجِ النِّصْفُ، وَلِلْأُمِّ ثُلُثُ جَمِيعِ الْمَالِ، وَمَا بَقِيَ فَلِلْأَبِ".
