Sunan al-Darimi 609
Said bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) once narrated a hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). A man said: "There is something contrary to this (ruling) in the Book of Allah?" He said: "I am narrating to you the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and you are presenting it before the Book of Allah, while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) knew the Book of Allah better than you."

سعید بن جبیر رحمہ اللہ نے ایک دن رسول اللہ ﷺ کی ایک حدیث بیان کی تو ایک آدمی نے کہا: اللہ کی کتاب میں اس کے مخالف (حکم) ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا: میں تمہیں رسول اللہ ﷺ کی حدیث سناتا ہوں، تم اسے اللہ کی کتاب پر پیش کرتے ہو، حالانکہ رسول اللہ ﷺ اللہ تعالیٰ کی کتاب کو تم سے زیادہ سمجھتے تھے۔
Saeed bin Jubair rehmatullah ne aik din Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki aik hadees bayaan ki to aik aadmi ne kaha: Allah ki kitaab mein iske mukhalif (hukm) hai? Unhon ne kaha: mein tumhein Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki hadees sunata hun, tum ise Allah ki kitaab par pesh karte ho, halanke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Allah ta'ala ki kitaab ko tumse ziada samajhte the.
(حديث موقوف) أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ"أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَ يَوْمًا بِحَدِيثٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ مَا يُخَالِفُ هَذَا؟، قَالَ: لَا أُرَانِي أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتُعَرِّضُ فِيهِ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ، كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْلَمَ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى مِنْكَ".
