Sahih Ibn Hibban 1494
Usaid ibn Zaid reported that Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz was sitting on the pulpit and he delayed the prayer a little. Urwah ibn az-Zubair said, "Don't you know that Gabriel informed Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, of the time of prayer?” Umar said, “I know what you are saying, O Urwah.” Urwah said, “I heard Bashir ibn Abi Masud say, I heard Abu Masud al-Ansari say, I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, ‘Gabriel came down and showed me the times of prayer, so I prayed with him, then I prayed with him, then I prayed with him, then I prayed with him, then I prayed with him.’” He counted on his fingers five prayers. “And I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, praying the noon prayer when the sun passed its zenith, and sometimes he delayed it when the heat was intense. And I saw him praying the afternoon prayer while the sun was still high in the sky and white before any yellowness entered it, so a man would finish the prayer and arrive in Dhu al-Hulayfah before sunset. And he would pray the sunset prayer when the sun set, and he would pray the evening prayer when the horizon darkened. And sometimes he would delay it until the people gathered. And he prayed the morning prayer with the white thread of dawn, then he prayed it again and shortened it. Then his prayer after that was at the time of the white thread until he died, peace and blessings be upon him, he did not return to shortening it.’”
’’حضرت عُسَید بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت عمر بن عبدالعزیز رضی اللہ عنہ منبر پر بیٹھے ہوئے تھے اور آپ نے نماز میں تھوڑی دیر کردی، تو عروہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: کیا تم نہیں جانتے کہ حضرت جبریل علیہ السلام نے حضرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو نمازوں کے اوقات کی خبر دی تھی؟ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: میں جانتا ہوں جو تم کہہ رہے ہو، اے عروہ! حضرت عروہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: میں نے حضرت بشیر بن ابی مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، انہوں نے حضرت ابو مسعود انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرماتے تھے کہ ’’جبریل علیہ السلام میرے پاس آئے اور انہوں نے مجھے نمازوں کے اوقات بتائے، چنانچہ میں نے ان کے ساتھ نماز ادا کی پھر ان کے ساتھ نماز ادا کی، پھر ان کے ساتھ نماز ادا کی، پھر ان کے ساتھ نماز ادا کی، پھر ان کے ساتھ نماز ادا کی۔‘‘ (راوی نے اپنی انگلیوں پر پانچ نمازیں گنیں) ’’اور میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ آپ ظہر کی نماز اس وقت ادا کرتے جب سورج ڈھل جاتا اور کبھی کبھی آپ شدید گرمی کی وجہ سے اس میں دیر فرما دیتے۔ اور میں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ آپ عصر کی نماز اس وقت ادا کرتے جب سورج ابھی بلند اور چمکتا دمکتا ہوتا اور اس میں پیلا پن نہ آیا ہوتا، یہاں تک کہ آدمی نماز پڑھ کر سورج غروب ہونے سے پہلے پہلے ذوالحلیفہ پہنچ جاتا۔ اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مغرب کی نماز سورج غروب ہوتے ہی ادا کرتے اور عشاء کی نماز اس وقت ادا کرتے جب اندھیرا چھا جاتا اور کبھی کبھی لوگوں کے جمع ہونے تک اس میں دیر فرما دیتے۔ اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فجر کی نماز صبح کے وقت ادا فرماتے پھر دوسری مرتبہ اسے قصر کرکے ادا فرماتے، پھر اس کے بعد آپ کی نماز سفیدی چھٹنے تک رہی یہاں تک کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا انتقال ہوگیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے قصر کرنا دوبارہ شروع نہیں فرمایا۔‘‘
Hazrat Usaid bin Zaid Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz Radi Allahu Anhu mimbar par baithe hue the aur aap ne namaz mein thori dair kardi to Urwah bin Zubair Radi Allahu Anhu ne kaha kya tum nahin jante ki Hazrat Jibraeel Alaihissalam ne Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko namazon ke auqat ki khabar di thi Hazrat Umar Radi Allahu Anhu ne kaha main janta hun jo tum keh rahe ho aye Urwah Hazrat Urwah Radi Allahu Anhu ne kaha maine Hazrat Bashir bin Abi Masood Radi Allahu Anhu se suna unhon ne Hazrat Abu Masood Ansari Radi Allahu Anhu se suna unhon ne Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam se suna aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam farmate the ki Jibraeel Alaihissalam mere paas aaye aur unhon ne mujhe namazon ke auqat bataye chunancha maine un ke sath namaz ada ki phir un ke sath namaz ada ki phir un ke sath namaz ada ki phir un ke sath namaz ada ki phir un ke sath namaz ada ki raavi ne apni ungliyon par panch namazain gin lein aur maine Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko dekha ki aap Zuhr ki namaz us waqt ada karte jab sooraj dhal jata aur kabhi kabhi aap shadid garmi ki wajah se is mein dair farma dete aur maine aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko dekha ki aap Asr ki namaz us waqt ada karte jab sooraj abhi buland aur chamakta damkta hota aur is mein peela pan na aaya hota yahan tak ki aadmi namaz parh kar sooraj ghuroob hone se pehle pehle Zulhulifa pahunch jata aur aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Maghrib ki namaz sooraj ghuroob hote hi ada karte aur Isha ki namaz us waqt ada karte jab andhera cha jata aur kabhi kabhi logon ke jama hone tak is mein dair farma dete aur aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Fajr ki namaz subah ke waqt ada farmate phir dusri martaba ise qasar kar ke ada farmate phir us ke baad aap ki namaz safedi chhutne tak rahi yahan tak ki aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ka inteqal ho gaya aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne ise qasar karna dobara shuru nahin farmaya
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ كَانَ قَاعِدًا عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَأَخَّرَ الصَّلَاةَ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ قَدْ أَخْبَرَ مُحَمَّدًا ﷺ بِوَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ أَعْلَمُ مَا تَقُولُ يَا عُرْوَةُ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ سَمِعْتُ بَشِيرَ بْنَ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «نَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ فَأَخْبَرَنِي بِوَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ» فَحَسَبَ بِأَصَابِعِهِ خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ «وَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ حِينَ تَزُولُ الشَّمْسُ وَرُبَّمَا أَخَّرَهَا حِينَ يَشْتَدُّ الْحَرُّ وَرَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ بَيْضَاءُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَهَا الصُّفْرَةُ فَيَنْصَرِفُ الرَّجُلُ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ فَيَأْتِي ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ وَيُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ تَسْقُطُ الشَّمْسُ وَيُصَلِّي الْعِشَاءَ حِينَ يَسْوَدُّ الْأُفُقُ وَرُبَّمَا أَخَّرَهَا حَتَّى يَجْتَمِعُ النَّاسُ وَصَلَّى الصُّبْحُ بِغَلَسٍ ثُمَّ صَلَّى مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فَأَسْفَرَ بِهَا ثُمَّ كَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِالْغَلَسِ حَتَّى مَاتَ ﷺ لَمْ يَعُدْ إِلَى أَنْ يُسْفِرَ»
