Sahih Ibn Hibban 2144
Abu Mas'ud al-Badri reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "The one who should lead the prayer of the people is the one who knows most of the Book of Allah. If they are equal in their recitation, then the one who should lead them is the one who emigrated earliest. If they are equal in their emigration, then the one who should lead them is the oldest of them in age. A man should not lead the prayer of another man in his house, nor should he sit in his place of honor except with his permission."
حضرت ابو مسعود البدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "تم میں سے امامت کے لیے وہ شخص سب سے زیادہ بااختیار ہے جو قرآن کو زیادہ جانتا ہو، اور اگر وہ قرأت میں برابر ہوں تو پھر وہ جو سب سے پہلے ہجرت کرکے آیا ہو، اور اگر ہجرت میں بھی برابر ہوں تو پھر وہ جو عمر میں سب سے بڑا ہو اور کسی آدمی کو یہ جائز نہیں کہ وہ دوسرے کے گھر میں اس کی اجازت کے بغیر اس کی امامت کرے اور نہ ہی اس کی جگہ پر بیٹھے۔"
Hazrat Abu Masood Al Badri Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "Tum mein se imamat ke liye woh shakhs sab se zyada baakhtiyar hai jo Quran ko zyada janta ho, aur agar woh qirat mein barabar hon to phir woh jo sab se pehle hijrat kar ke aaya ho, aur agar hijrat mein bhi barabar hon to phir woh jo umar mein sab se bada ho aur kisi aadmi ko ye jaiz nahi hai ki woh dusre ke ghar mein us ki ijazat ke baghair us ki imamat kare aur na hi us ki jaga par baithe."
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ وَابْنُ كَثِيرٍ وَالْحَوْضِيُّ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ ضَمْعَجٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْبَدْرِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَؤُمُّ الْقَوْمُ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ لِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَإِنْ كَانَتْ قِرَاءَتُهُمْ سَوَاءً فَلْيَؤُمَّهُمْ أَقْدَمُهُمْ هِجْرَةً فَإِنْ كَانُوا فِي الْهِجْرَةِ سَوَاءً فَلْيَؤُمَّهُمْ أَكْبَرُهُمْ سِنًّا وَلَا يَؤُمُّ الرَّجُلُ الرَّجُلَ فِي بَيْتِهِ وَلَا فِي فُسْطَاطِهِ وَلَا يَقْعُدُ عَلَى تَكْرِمَتِهِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ»
