Sahih Ibn Hibban 2889
Jabir narrated that Umar ibn al-Khattab came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on the night of the Trench and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I was nearly unable to pray the afternoon prayer until the sun nearly set." That was after the fasting people had broken their fast. The Prophet said, "By Allah, we have not prayed it yet." He went down to the valley, and I was with him. He performed ablution and then prayed the afternoon prayer after the sun had set and after the fasting people had broken their fast.
جابر رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس غزوہ خندق کی رات آئے اور کہا کہ اللہ کے رسول! میں تو قریب تھا کہ عصر کی نماز نہ پڑھ سکتا سورج غروب ہونے ہی کو تھا یہ اس وقت تھا جب روزہ دار افطار کر چکے تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا اللہ کی قسم! ہم نے ابھی نماز نہیں پڑھی۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وادی میں اترے اور میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وضو کیا پھر سورج غروب ہونے کے بعد اور روزہ داروں کے افطار کے بعد عصر کی نماز پڑھی۔
Jaber razi Allahu anhu bayan karte hain ki Umar bin Khattab razi Allahu anhu Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke pass ghazwa khandaq ki raat aaye aur kaha ki Allah ke Rasul! mein to kareeb tha ki Asar ki namaz nah parh sakta sooraj ghurub hone hi ko tha yeh us waqt tha jab rozedar iftar kar chuke the. Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya Allah ki qasam! hum ne abhi namaz nahin parhi. Phir aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam wadi mein utre aur mein aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ke sath tha. Aap sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne wazu kiya phir sooraj ghurub hone ke bad aur rozedaron ke iftar ke bad Asar ki namaz parhi.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الْكَلَاعِيُّ بِحِمْصَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ إِلَّا أَنَّ أَبَا عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا بِحَدِيثٍ حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ شَيْبَانُ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ وَغَيْرُهُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ جَاءَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَيْلَةَ الْخَنْدَقِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا كِدْتُ أُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ حَتَّى كَادَتِ الشَّمْسُ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ وَذَلِكَ بَعْدَمَا أَفْطَرَ الصَّائِمُ قَالَ «وَاللَّهِ مَا صَلَّيْنَاهَا بَعْدُ» قَالَ فَنَزَلَ إِلَى بُطْحَانَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ بَعْدَمَا غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَبَعْدَمَا أَفْطَرَ الصَّائِمُ
