Sahih Ibn Hibban 390
Ibn Mas'ud said: I was hidden behind the cover of the Ka'ba, and in the Masjid was a man from Thaqif and two Qurashis, his in-laws. They said: "Do you think Allah hears what we say?" One of them said: "He hears if we speak loudly." A man said: "If He hears when we speak loudly then He hears when we speak secretly." The other one said: "I don't think Allah hears our talk." Ibn Mas'ud said: "So I went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and informed him of their statement. So Allah revealed: "And you were not screened off by anything that your hearing or your eyes or your skins should not testify against you..." to the end of the verse.
ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں کعبہ کے سائے میں چھپا ہوا تھا کہ ایک ثقفی شخص مسجد میں اپنے دو سسرالی قریشیوں کے ساتھ تھا وہ کہہ رہے تھے کیا تمھارا خیال ہے کہ اللہ ہماری باتیں سنتا ہے؟ ان میں سے ایک نے کہا کہ اگر ہم اونچی آواز سے بات کریں تو وہ سنتا ہے تو دوسرے شخص نے کہا اگر وہ اونچی آواز سنتا ہے تو پھر ہلکی آواز بھی سنتا ہوگا۔ تیسرے نے کہا مجھے نہیں لگتا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ہماری باتیں سنتا ہے۔ ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا اور ان سے یہ ساری بات کہہ سنائی تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ آیت نازل فرمائی اور تم کسی ایسی چیز میں چھپے نہیں تھے کہ تمہاری سماعت ( کان ) یا تمہاری بصارت ( آنکھ ) یا تمہاری جِلد ( چمڑے ) تم پر گواہی نہ دیں ۔۔۔ آیت کے آخر تک
Ibn Masood Raziallahu Anhu kehty hain keh main Kabah k saaye mein chhupa hua tha keh aik Thaqafi shakhs Masjid mein apne do susraali Quraishiyon k sath tha woh keh rahe thay kya tumhara khayal hai keh Allah hamari baatain sunta hai un mein se aik ne kaha keh agar hum unchi aawaz se baat karein to woh sunta hai to doosre shakhs ne kaha agar woh unchi aawaz sunta hai to phir halki aawaz bhi sunta hoga teesre ne kaha mujhe nahi lagta keh Allah Ta'ala hamari baatain sunta hai Ibn Masood Raziallahu Anhu kehty hain keh main Rasool Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam k paas aaya aur un se yeh sari baat keh sunai to Allah Ta'ala ne yeh ayat nazil farmai aur tum kisi aisi cheez mein chhupe nahi thay keh tumhari samaat (kaan) ya tumhari basarat (aankh) ya tumhari jild (chamre) tum par gawahi na dein ... ayat k akhir tak
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ بِخَبَرٍ غَرِيبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبِ بْنِ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ مُسْتَتِرًا بِحِجَابِ الْكَعْبَةِ وَفِي الْمَسْجِدِ رَجُلٌ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ وَخَتَنَاهُ قُرَشِيَّانِ فَقَالُوا تَرَوْنَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَسْمَعُ حَدِيثَنَا؟ فقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا إِنَّهُ يَسْمَعُ إِذَا رَفَعْنَا فقَالَ رَجُلٌ لَئِنْ كَانَ يَسْمَعُ إِذَا رَفَعْنَا لَيَسْمَعَنَّ إِذَا أَخْفَيْنَا وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ مَا أَرَى إِلَّا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَسْمَعُ حَدِيثَنَا قَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فَأَتَيْتُ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِقَوْلِهِمْ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ {وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَتِرُونَ أَنْ يَشْهَدَ عَلَيْكُمْ سَمْعُكُمْ وَلَا أَبْصَارُكُمْ} إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ
