Sahih Ibn Hibban 7330
Al-Miqdam, companion of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "On the Day of Resurrection, the sun will be brought near to the people, until it is a distance of one mile away, or two." Sulaym (the sub-narrator) said, "I do not know which of the two miles he meant: whether the distance (equivalent to that) on earth, or the mile by which kohl is applied to the eye?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Then the sun will roast them, and they will sink in their perspiration according to their deeds. Some of them will sink in it up to their ankles, some up to their knees, some up to their waists, and some of them will have the bridle of perspiration reaching up to their mouths." I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as he said this, gesturing with his hand to his mouth, and saying: "It will seize them up to their mouths."
الْمِقْدَامِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ تُدْنَى الشَّمْسُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ النَّاسِ حَتَّى تَكُونَ مِنْهُمْ مِيلًا أَوْ قَالَ مِيلَيْنِ قَالَ سُلَيْمٌ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَيَّ الْمِيلَيْنِ عَنَى أَمِيلُ الْأَرْضِ أَمْ مِيلُ الْكُحْلِ قَالَ فَيَصْهَرُهُمْ الْعَرَقُ فَيَكُونُونَ فِي الْعَرَقِ بِحَسَبِ أَعْمَالِهِمْ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَكُونُ إِلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَكُونُ إِلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَكُونُ إِلَى حِقِّهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يُلْجِمُهُ الْعَرَقُ لِجَامًا قَالَ وَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ بِهَذَا وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى فِيهِ يُرِيدُ يُلْجِمُهُمْ
Almiqdaami radi Allahu anh Sahibi Rasuli Allahi sallallahu alaihi wasallam qaal sami'tu Rasool Allahi sallallahu alaihi wasallam yaqulu tudna ashshamsu yawma alqiyaamati min annasi hattaa takunu minhum ميلaa aw qaal ميلayn qaal Sulaym falaa adri ayyal ميلayn anaa ameelu alarthi am meelu alkukhli qaal fayash-haruhum al'araqu fayakununa fi al'araqi bi hasabi a'maalihim faminhum man yakunu ilaa aqibayhi waminhum man yakunu ilaa rukbatayhi waminhum man yakunu ilaa hiqqihi waminhum man yuljimuhu al'araqu lijaamaan qaal waraaytu Rasool Allahi sallallahu alaihi wasallam wahuwa yuhaddithu bihaathaa waashaara bi yadihi ilaa feehi yureedu yuljimuhum
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْمِقْدَادُ صَاحِبُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ أُدْنِيَتِ الشَّمْسُ مِنَ الْعِبَادِ حَتَّى تَكُونَ قِيدَ مِيلٍ أَوْ مِيلَيْنِ» قَالَ سُلَيْمٌ لَا أَدْرِي أَيُّ الْمِيلَيْنِ يَعْنِي أَمَسَافَةُ الْأَرْضِ أَمِ الْمِيلَ الَّذِي تُكَحَّلُ بِهِ الْعَيْنُ؟ قَالَ «فَتَصْهَرُهُمُ الشَّمْسُ فَيَكُونُونَ فِي الْعَرَقِ كَقَدْرِ أَعْمَالِهِمْ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَأْخُذُهُ إِلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَأْخُذُهُ إِلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَأْخُذُهُ إِلَى حَقْوَيْهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يُلْجِمُهُ إِلْجَامًا» قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُشِيرُ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى فِيهِ يَقُولُ «يُلْجِمُهُمْ إِلْجَامًا»
