باب صِفَةِ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ
Sunan Ibn Majah 4282
Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘you will come to me with radiant faces, hands and feet from the traces of ablution. This is the characteristic sign of my nation which does not belong to anyone else.’

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: تم میرے پاس آؤ گے اس حال میں کہ وضو کی وجہ سے تمہارے ہاتھ پاؤں اور پیشانیاں روشن ہوں گی، یہ میری امت کا نشان ہو گا، اور کسی امت کا یہ نشان نہ ہو گا ۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Tum mere pass ao ge is hal mein ke wazu ki wajah se tumhare hath paon aur peshaniyan roshan hon gi, yeh meri ummat ka nishan ho ga, aur kisi ummat ka yeh nishan nah ho ga.
Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that they were with the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) in a tent, and he said, ‘will it not please you to be one quarter of the people of Paradise?’ We said, ‘yes.’ He said, ‘will it not please you to be one third of the people of Paradise?’ We said, ‘yes.’ He said, ‘by the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I hope that you will be half of the people of Paradise. For no one will enter Paradise but a Muslim soul, and among the people of polytheism you are like a white hair on the hide of a black bull, or like a black hair on the hide of a red bull.’

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ ایک خیمے میں تھے، تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: کیا تم اس پر راضی اور خوش ہو گے کہ تمہاری تعداد جنت والوں کے چوتھائی ہو ، ہم نے کہا: کیوں نہیں، پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: کیا تم خوش ہو گے کہ تمہاری تعداد جنت والوں کے ایک تہائی ہو ، ہم نے کہا: جی ہاں، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، مجھے امید ہے کہ تمہاری تعداد تمام اہل جنت کا نصف ہو گی، ایسا اس لیے ہے کہ جنت میں صرف مسلمان ہی جائے گا، اور مشرکین کے مقابلے میں تمہاری مثال ایسی ہے جیسے کالے بیل کی جلد پر سفید بال یا سرخ بیل کی جلد پر کالا بال ۔
Abdul-Allah bin Masood (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke hum Rasool-Allah salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam ke sath ek khaime mein the, to aap salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam ne farmaya: kya tum is par razi aur khush ho gaye ke tumhari tadad jannat walon ke chauthai ho, hum ne kaha: kyon nahi, phir aap salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam ne farmaya: kya tum khush ho gaye ke tumhari tadad jannat walon ke ek tehai ho, hum ne kaha: ji haan, aap salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam ne farmaya: is zat ki qasam jis ke hath mein meri jaan hai, mujhe umeed hai ke tumhari tadad tamam ahl jannat ka niff ho gi, aisa is liye hai ke jannat mein sirf musalman hi jaye ga, aur mushrikin ke muqabale mein tumhari misal aisi hai jaise kale bail ki jild par safed bal ya surkh bail ki jild par kala bal.
It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“A Prophet will come accompanied by two men, and a Prophet will come accompanied by three, and (some will come) with more or less than that. It will be said to him: ‘Did you convey the message to your people?’ And he will say: ‘Yes.’ Then his people will be called and it will be said: ‘Did he convey the message to you?’ They will say: ‘No.’ Then it will be said: ‘Who will bear witness for you?’ He will say: ‘Muhammad and his nation.’ So the nation of Muhammad will be called and it will be said: ‘Did this man convey the message?’ They will say: ‘Yes.’ He will say: ‘How did you know that?’ They will say: ‘Our Prophet told us that the Messengers had conveyed the message, and we believed him.’ This is what Allah says: “Thus We have made you, a just (and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad (ﷺ)) be a witness over you.’” [2:143]

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ( قیامت کے دن ) ایک نبی آئے گا اور اس کے ساتھ دو ہی آدمی ہوں گے، اور ایک نبی آئے گا اس کے ساتھ تین آدمی ہوں گے، اور کسی نبی کے ساتھ زیادہ لوگ ہوں گے، کسی کے ساتھ کم، اس نبی سے پوچھا جائے گا: کیا تم نے اپنی قوم تک اللہ تعالیٰ کا پیغام پہنچایا تھا؟ وہ کہے گا: جی ہاں پھر اس کی قوم بلائی جائے گی اور پوچھا جائے گا: کیا اس نے تم کو اللہ کا پیغام پہنچا دیا تھا؟ وہ کہیں گے: نہیں نبی سے پوچھا جائے گا: تمہارا گواہ کون ہے؟ وہ کہے گا: محمد اور ان کی امت، پھر محمد کی امت بلائی جائے گی اور کہا جائے گا: کیا اس نے اللہ تعالیٰ کا پیغام پہنچا دیا تھا؟ وہ کہے گی: جی ہاں اس سے پوچھا جائے گا: تمہیں کیسے معلوم ہوا؟ جواب دے گی کہ ہمارے نبی نے ہم کو یہ بتایا کہ رسولوں نے پیغام پہنچا دیا ہے تو ہم نے ان کی تصدیق کی، پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: یہی اللہ تعالیٰ کے قول: «وكذلك جعلناكم أمة وسطا لتكونوا شهداء على الناس ويكون الرسول عليكم شهيدا» اسی طرح ہم نے تم کو امت وسط بنایا تاکہ تم گواہ رہو لوگوں پر اور رسول گواہ رہیں تمہارے اوپر ( سورة البقرة: 143 ) کا مطلب ہے ۔
Abu Saeed Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah SAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: (Qayamat ke din) ek Nabi aayga aur uske sath do hi aadmi honge, aur ek Nabi aayga uske sath teen aadmi honge, aur kisi Nabi ke sath zyada log honge, kisi ke sath kam, is Nabi se poocha jaayga: kya tum ne apni qoum tak Allah Ta'ala ka paigham pahunchaya tha? Wo kahega: Ji han phir uski qoum bilai jaaygi aur poocha jaayga: kya usne tum ko Allah ka paigham pahuncha diya tha? Wo kahenge: Nahin Nabi se poocha jaayga: tumhara gawaah kon hai? Wo kahega: Muhammad aur unki ummat, phir Muhammad ki ummat bilai jaaygi aur kaha jaayga: kya usne Allah Ta'ala ka paigham pahuncha diya tha? Wo kahegi: Ji han usse poocha jaayga: tumhen kaise maloom hua? jawab degi ke hamare Nabi ne hum ko ye bataya ke Rasuloon ne paigham pahuncha diya hai to hum ne un ki tasdeeq ki, phir aap SAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: Yehi Allah Ta'ala ke qoul: «Wakadhalik ja'alna kum ummaton wasata litkunu shuhudaa 'ala al-nas wa yakunu al-rasul 'alaikum shuhuda» Isi tarah hum ne tum ko ummat wast banaya takay tum gawah raho logoon par aur Rasool gawah rahen tumhare oopar (Surah al-Baqarah: 143) ka matlab hai.
Rifa’ah Al-Juhani (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that they came back (from a campaign) with the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and he said, ‘by the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), there is no person who believes then stands firm, but he will be caused to enter Paradise. I hope that they will not enter it until you and those who are righteous among your offspring will enter it and take up your dwelling places therein. And my Lord has promised me that seventy thousand, of my nation will enter Paradise without being brought to account.’

رفاعہ جہنی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ لوٹے تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں محمد کی جان ہے، کوئی بندہ ایسا نہیں ہے، جو ایمان لائے، پھر اس پر جما رہے مگر وہ اس کی وجہ سے جنت میں داخل کیا جائے گا، اور میں امید کرتا ہوں کہ وہ اس میں داخل نہ ہوں گے یہاں تک کہ تم اور تمہاری اولاد میں جو لوگ نیک ہوئے جنت کے مکانات میں ٹھکانا نہ بنا لیں، اور مجھ سے میرے رب نے وعدہ کیا ہے کہ وہ میری امت میں سے ستر ہزار لوگوں کو بغیر حساب و کتاب جنت میں داخل کرے گا ۔
Rafa'a Jahni (رضي الله تعالى عنه) Kehte Hain Ke Hum Rasool Allah SALLALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM Ke Sath Lote To Aap SALLALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM Ne Farmaya: Is Zaat Ki Qasam Jis Ke Hath Mein Muhammad Ki Jaan Hai, Koi Banda Aisa Nahin Hai, Jo Iman Laaye, Phir Is Per Jama Rahe Magar Wo Is Ki Wajah Se Jannat Mein Dakhil Kiya Jaaega, Aur Main Umeed Karta Hun Ke Wo Is Mein Dakhil Na Honge Yahaan Tak Ke Tum Aur Tumhari Olad Mein Jo Log Neek Huwe Jannat Ke Makanat Mein Thakana Na Bana Lein, Aur Mujh Se Mere Rab Ne Wada Kiya Hai Ke Wo Meri Ummmat Mein Se Sattar Hazar Logon Ko Baghair Hisab O Kitab Jannat Mein Dakhil Karega.
Abu Umamah Al-Bahili (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he heard the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) say, ‘my Lord has promised me that seventy thousand of my nation will enter Paradise without being brought to account or punished. With every thousand will be (another) seventy thousand, and three handfuls of my Lord, the Glorified.’

ابوامامہ باہلی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: میرے رب ( سبحانہ و تعالیٰ ) نے مجھ سے وعدہ کیا ہے کہ وہ میری امت میں سے ستر ہزار لوگوں کو جنت میں داخل کرے گا، نہ ان کا حساب ہو گا، اور نہ ان پر کوئی عذاب، ہر ہزار کے ساتھ ستر ہزار ہوں گے، اور ان کے سوا میرے رب عزوجل کی مٹھیوں میں سے تین مٹھیوں کے برابر بھی ہوں گے ۔
Abu Amamah Bahili (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke main ne Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko farmate huye suna: Mere Rab (Subhana wa Ta'ala) ne mujh se wa'da kiya hai ke woh meri ummat mein se sattar hazar logon ko Jannat mein daakhil karega, na in ka hisaab ho ga, aur na in par koi azab, har hazar ke sath sattar hazar honge, aur in ke siwa mere Rab Azzawajal ki mutthiyon mein se teen mutthiyon ke barabar bhi honge.
Bahz bin Hakim narrated from his father, that his grandfather said, the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘On the Day of Resurrection, we will complete seventy nations, of whom we are the last and the best.’
Grade: Sahih
معاویہ بن حیدۃ قشیری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ہم قیامت کے دن ستر امتوں کا تکملہ ہوں گے، اور ہم ان سب سے آخری اور بہتر امت ہوں گے ۔
Muawiyah bin Haidah Qashari (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Hum Qayamat ke din sattar ummaton ka takmila honge, aur hum in sab se aakhiri aur behtar ummat honge.
Bahz bin Hakim narrated from his father, that his grandfather said, he heard the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) say, ‘you complete seventy nations, of which you are the best and dearest to Allah.’

معاویہ بن حیدۃ قشیری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: تمہیں لے کر ستر امتیں پوری ہوئیں، اور تم ان میں سب سے بہتر ہو، اور اللہ کے نزدیک سب سے زیادہ باعزت ہو ۔
Muawiyah bin Haida Qasheer (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke main ne Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko farmate huye suna: Tumhein le kar sattar ummatian poori huin, aur tum in mein sab se behtar ho, aur Allah ke nazdeek sab se ziada baazat ho.
Sulaiman bin Buraidah narrated from his father, that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘the people of Paradise are one hundred and twenty ranks, eighty from this nation and forty from all other nations.
Grade: Sahih
بریدہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے فرمایا: جنت والوں کی ایک سو بیس صفیں ہوں گی، ان میں سے اسی صفیں اس امت کے لوگوں کی ہوں گی، اور چالیس صفیں اور امتوں میں سے ۔
Bareeda (رضي الله تعالى عنه) Kehte Hain Ke Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Ne Farmaya: Jannat Walon Ki Ek Sau Bees Safain Hongi, In Mein Se Assi Safain Is Umat Ke Logon Ki Hongi, Aur Chalis Safain Aur Ummaton Mein Se.
Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narraated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘we are the last of the nations, and the first to be brought to account. It will be said, ‘where is the unlettered nation and its Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)?’ So we are the last and the first.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ہم آخری امت ہیں اور سب سے پہلے حساب کے لیے بلائے جائیں گے، کہا جائے گا: امت اور اس کے نبی کہاں ہیں؟ تو ہم اول بھی ہیں اور آخر بھی ۔
Abdul-Allah bin Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte hain ke Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: hum aakhiri ummat hain aur sab se pehle hisab ke liye bulaye jayenge, kaha jayega: ummat aur us ke nabi kahan hain? to hum awwal bhi hain aur aakhir bhi.
Abu Burdah narrated from his father that the that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘when Allah gathers all creatures on the Day of Resurrection, permission will be given to the nation of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to prostrate, so they will prostrate to Him for a long time. Then it will be said, raise your heads, for a certain number of you will go to Hell-fire and these will be your ransom from Hell.
Grade: Da'if
ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: جب اللہ تعالیٰ قیامت کے دن تمام مخلوق کو جمع کرے گا، تو محمد ﷺ کی امت کو سجدے کا حکم دے گا، وہ بڑی دیر تک اس کو سجدہ کرتے رہیں گے، پھر حکم ہو گا اپنے سروں کو اٹھاؤ ہم نے تمہاری تعداد کے مطابق تمہارے فدئیے جہنم سے کر دئیے ۔
Abu Musa Ash'ari (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Jab Allah Ta'ala Qiyamat ke din tamam Makhluq ko jama karega, to Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki ummat ko sajda ka hukm dega, wo bari der tak is ko sajda karte rahenge, phir hukm hoga apne sarown ko uthao hum ne tumhari tadad ke mutabiq tumhare fadaye Jahannam se kar diye.
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى هللا عليه و آله وسلم) said, ‘this nation has been granted mercy (in the Hereafter) and its torment (in this world) is at the hands of one another. When the Day of Resurrection comes, each Muslim man will be given a man from among the idolaters and it will be said, ‘this is your ransom from the Fire.’
Grade: Da'if
انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: بیشک یہ امت امت مرحومہ ہے ( یعنی اس پر رحمت نازل کی گئی ہے ) ، اس کا عذاب اسی کے ہاتھوں میں ہے، جب قیامت کا دن ہو گا تو ہر مسلمان کے حوالے ایک مشرک کیا جائے گا، اور کہا جائے گا: یہ تیرا فدیہ ہے جہنم سے ۔
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Beshak yeh ummat ummat marhoom hai ( yani is par rahmat nazil ki gai hai), is ka azaab usi ke hathon mein hai, jab qayamat ka din hoga to har musalman ke hawale ek mushrik kya jayega, aur kaha jayega: Yeh tera fadiya hai jahannam se.
