Sunan Ibn Majah 171
It was narrated from Abu Zubair (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that Jabir bin Abdullah ( رضي الله تعالیعنہ) said : "The Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was in Ji'ranah and he was distributing gold nuggets and spoils of war which were in Bilal's (رضي الله تعالى عنه) lap. A man said : 'Do justice, O Muhammed (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)!' He said : 'Woe to you! Who will do justice after me if I do not do justice?' 'Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said: 'O Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)! Let me strike the neck of this hypocrite!' The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said : 'This man has some companions who recite the Qur'an but it does not go any deeper than their collarbones. They will go out of Islam like an arrow out of the bow.'

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: میری امت کے کچھ لوگ قرآن تو ضرور پڑھیں گے، مگر وہ اسلام سے نکل جائیں گے جس طرح تیر شکار سے نکل جاتا ہے ۔
Abdullah bin Abbas raziallahu anhuma kehte hain ki Rasul Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: Meri ummat ke kuchh log Quran to zaroor parhenge, magar woh Islam se nikal jayenge jis tarah teer shikar se nikal jata hai.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَيَقْرَأَنَّ الْقُرْآنَ نَاسٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الْإِسْلَامِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ .
