Chapter on the Prayer of Fear Also, and the Permissibility of One Group Saying Takbir with the Imam Without Facing the Qibla
بَابٌ فِي صَلَاةِ الْخَوْفِ أَيْضًا، وَالرُّخْصَةِ لِإِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ أَنْ تُكَبِّرَ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ وَهِيَ غَيْرُ مُسْتَقْبِلَةٍ الْقِبْلَةَ
Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 1362
Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair narrates that I heard Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu when Farwan bin Hakam was asking him about Salat al-Khawf (the prayer of fear). So Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu said, “I was present with the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam in that battle.” He said that the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam divided the people into two groups, then he repeated the same as the above Hadith and in the second Rak'ah he said that the group which had prayed with you Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam took hold of their weapons. Then they walked backwards on their heels until they stood near the enemy. And at the end of the Hadith, these words were added, “The people got up in such a state that they had all joined you Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam in prayer.”

حضرت عروہ بن زبیر بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو سنا جبکہ فروان بن حکم اُن سے نماز خوف کے بارے میں پوچھ رہا تھا تو سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا، میں اُس غزوہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ موجود تھا۔ فرماتے ہیں کہ پس رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لوگوں کو دوگروہوں میں تقسیم کیا پھر مذکررہ بالا حدیث کی مثل بیان کیا اور دوسری رکعت میں یہ بیان کیا کہ اس گروہ نے اسلحہ پکڑ لیا جس نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی تھی، پھر وہ اُلٹے پاؤں چلتے ہوئے پیچھے گئے حتّیٰ کہ وہ دشمن کے قریب جا کر کھڑے ہو گئے۔ اور حدیث کے آخر میں یہ الفاظ زیادہ کیے کہ لوگ اُٹھ گئے اس حال میں کہ وہ سب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز میں شرکت کر چکے تھے۔
Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair bayan karte hain ke maine Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu ko suna jabke Farwan bin Hakam un se Namaz-e-Khauf ke bare mein poch raha tha to Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu ne farmaya, main us ghazwah mein Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke sath maujood tha. Faramate hain ke pas Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne logon ko do grouhon mein taqseem kiya phir muzakkirah bala hadees ki misl bayan kiya aur dusri rakat mein yeh bayan kiya ke is group ne hathiyar pakad liya jisne aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke sath namaz padhi thi, phir woh ulte paon chalte huye peeche gaye hattay ke woh dushman ke qareeb ja kar khare ho gaye. Aur hadees ke akhir mein yeh alfaz ziyada kiye ke log uth gaye is hal mein ke woh sab aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke sath namaz mein shirkat kar chuke thay.
نَا أَبُو الأَزْهَرِ وَكَتَبْتُهُ مِنْ أَصْلِهِ، نَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ ، وَكَانَ يَتِيمًا فِي حِجْرِ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ وَهُوَ أَحَدُ بَنِي أَسَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى بْنِ قُصَيٍّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَمَرْوَانُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ يَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ صَلاةِ الْخَوْفِ، فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي تِلْكَ الْغَزْوَةِ، قَالَ:" فَصَدَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسَ صَدْعَيْنِ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمِثْلِ مَعْنَاهُ، وَذَكَرَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ، قَالَ:" وَأَخَذَتِ الطَّائِفَةُ الَّتِي صَلَّتْ خَلْفَهُ أَسْلِحَتَهُمْ، ثُمَّ مَشَوُا الْقَهْقَرَى عَلَى أَدْبَارِهِمْ حَتَّى قَامُوا مِمَّا يَلِي الْعَدُوَّ"، وَزَادَ فِي آخِرِ الْحَدِيثِ" فَقَامَ الْقَوْمُ وَقَدْ شَرَكُوهُ فِي الصَّلاةِ"
