Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 1379
Narrated Aisha, the wife of the Prophet: During the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) the sun eclipsed, so the Prophet (ﷺ) led the people in prayer, and stood up and performed a lengthy recitation. Then he bowed, and his bowing was about as long as his recitation. Then he raised his head (from bowing) and recited (again), his recitation being as long as the first one. Then he bowed again, his bowing being about as long as his recitation. Then he raised his head, prostrated, and then stood up for the second Rak'ah and did in it as he had done in the first. Then he said, "The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of someone's death or life. So when you see them, invoke Allah and offer prayer (till the eclipse is over)." The narrator added: That day (when the sun eclipsed) Ibrahim (the son of the Prophet) had died. So the people said that the sun had eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim.

سیدہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے عہد میں سورج کو گرہن لگا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز پڑھنے کے لئے کھڑے ہو گئے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جہری قراءت کی، پھر ??پ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی قراءت کی مقدار کے برابر (لمبا) رکوع کیا، پھر (رکوع سے سر مبارک) اُٹھایا تو (پھر اپنی پہلی قراءت جتنی قراءت کی) پھر اپنی قراءت کی مقدار کے برابر رکو ع کیا، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنا سر مبارک اُٹھایا اور سجدے کیا۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دوسری رکعت کے لئے اُٹھے تو پھر اسی طرح (قراءت اور رکوع) کیا جس طرح پہلی رکعت میں کیا تھا۔ پھر فرمایا: ”بیشک سورج اور چاند اللہ تعالیٰ کی نشانیوں میں سے دو نشانیاں ہیں۔ انہیں کسی انسان کی موت کی وجہ سے گرہن نہیں لگتا لہٰذ جب گرہن لگے تو نماز کی طرف لپکو (تاکہ اللہ تعالیٰ تمہاری یہ مشکل حل کرے) روای کہتے ہیں کہ اُس دن (رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لخت جگر) سیدنا ابراہیم رضی اللہ عنہ کی وفات ہوئی تھی تو لوگوں نے کہنا شروع کردیا کہ سورج گرہن سیدنا ابراہیم رضی اللہ عنہ کی موت کی وجہ سے لگا ہے۔
Sayyida Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha bayan karti hain ke Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke ahd mein suraj ko grahan laga to Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam namaz padhne ke liye kharay ho gaye, Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne jahri qirat ki, phir Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne apni qirat ke barabar (lamba) ruku kiya, phir (ruku se sar mubarak) uthaya to (phir apni pehli qirat jitni qirat ki) phir apni qirat ke barabar ruku kiya, phir Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne apna sar mubarak uthaya aur sajde kiya. Phir Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam dusri rakat ke liye uthe to phir isi tarah (qirat aur ruku) kiya jis tarah pehli rakat mein kiya tha. Phir farmaya: “Beshak suraj aur chand Allah Ta'ala ki nishaniyon mein se do nishaniyan hain. Inhen kisi insan ki maut ki wajah se grahan nahin lagta lihaza jab grahan lage to namaz ki taraf lapko (taake Allah Ta'ala tumhari yeh mushkil hal kare) Rawi kehte hain ke us din (Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke laqt-e-jigar) Sayyiduna Ibrahim Radi Allahu Anhu ki wafat hui thi to logon ne kehna shuru kar diya ke suraj grahan Sayyiduna Ibrahim Radi Allahu Anhu ki maut ki wajah se laga hai.
حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْجَزَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ صَدَقَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ حُسَيْنٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتِ: انْخَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الصَّلاةِ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ قِرَاءَةً يَجْهَرُ فِيهَا، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ عَلَى نَحْوِ مَا قَرَأَ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ، فَقَرَأَ نَحْوًا مِنْ قِرَاءَتِهِ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ عَلَى نَحْوِ مَا قَرَأَ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ، وَسَجَدَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الأُخْرَى، فَصَنَعَ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعَ فِي الأُولَى، ثُمَّ قَالَ:" إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لا يَنْخَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ بَشَرٍ، فَإِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فَافْزَعُوا إِلَى الصَّلاةِ" قَالَ: وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ كَانَ مَاتَ يَوْمَئِذٍ، فَقَالَ النَّاسُ: إِنَّمَا كَانَ هَذَا لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
