كِتَابُ الْإِمَامَةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
Chapter on Mentioning the Prophet’s Supplication for the Imams to Be Guided
بَابُ ذِكْرِ دُعَاءِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْأَئِمَّةِ بِالرَّشَادِ
Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 1528
On the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Imam (prayer leader) is a guarantor and the Mu'adhin (caller to prayer) is entrusted (with trust). 'May Allah guide the Ummah (nation) and forgive the Mu'adhins.'" This is the narration of Ash'ath. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Ibn Numayr narrated this from A'mash and he ruined the narration.

سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”امام (نماز کا) ضامن ہے اور مؤذن (اذان کے درست وقت کا) امانت دار ہے۔ «اَرْشَدَ اللهُ الأ ئِمّةَ، وَغَفَرَ لِلْمَؤَذِّنِيْنَ» اے اللہ، ائمہ کو رشد و ہدایت اور مؤذنوں کو بخشش نصیب فرما۔“ یہ جناب اشج کی روایت ہے۔ امام ابوبکر رحمه الله فرماتے ہیں کہ یہ روایت ابن نمیر نے اعمش سے بیان کی ہے اور اس روایت کو خراب کر دیا ہے۔
Syedna Abu Huraira Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai ke Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: “Imam (namaz ka) zaman hai aur Muazzin (azan ke durust waqt ka) amanatdaar hai. Allah Aimmah ko rushd-o-hidayat aur Muazzinon ko bakhshish nasib farma.” Yeh Janab Ashja ki riwayat hai. Imam Abu Bakr Rahmatullah Alaih farmate hain ke yeh riwayat Ibn Numayr ne Aamash se bayan ki hai aur is riwayat ko kharab kar diya hai.
نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، وَالثَّوْرِيُّ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى ، عَنْ مُؤَمَّلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، كُلُّ هَؤُلاءِ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " الإِمَامُ ضَامِنٌ، وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ، اللَّهُمَّ أَرْشِدِ الأَئِمَّةَ، وَاغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤَذِّنِينَ" . هَذَا حَدِيثُ الأَشَجِّ. قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: رَوَاهُ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، وَأَفْسَدَ الْخَبَرَ
