Muwatta Imam Malik 391
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "Someone who only remembers that he has forgotten a prayer when he is praying the next prayer behind an imam, should pray the prayer he has forgotten after the imam has said the taslim, and then pray the other one again."

نافع رحمہ اللہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ فرمایا کرتے تھے : جو شخص کوئی نماز ( پڑھنا ) بھول گیا ، پھر وہ نماز اسے یاد ہی نہ آئے ، مگر اس حالت میں ( یاد آئے ) کہ وہ امام کے ساتھ ( اگلی نماز پڑھ رہا ) ہو ، چنانچہ جب امام سلام پھیر دے تو اسے چاہیے کہ اب وہ نماز ( قضا کے طور پر ) پڑھے جو وہ بھول گیا تھا ، پھر اس کے بعد ( دوبارہ ) دوسری نماز پڑھے ( جو امام کے ساتھ پہلے پڑھ چکا تھا ) ۔
Nafe rahmatullah alaihe se riwayat hai ki Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar razi Allah tala anhu farmaya karte the: Jo shakhs koi namaz (parhna) bhul gaya, phir woh namaz use yaad hi na aaye, magar is halat mein (yaad aaye) ki woh imam ke sath (agli namaz parh raha) ho, chunancha jab imam salam phir de to use chahie ki ab woh namaz (qaza ke taur par) parhe jo woh bhul gaya tha, phir uske baad (dobara) dusri namaz parhe (jo imam ke sath pehle parh chuka tha).
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ : « مَنْ نَسِيَ صَلَاةً فَلَمْ يَذْكُرْهَا إِلَّا وَهُوَ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ ، فَإِذَا سَلَّمَ الْإِمَامُ ، فَلْيُصَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ الَّتِي نَسِيَ ، ثُمَّ لِيُصَلِّ بَعْدَهَا الْأُخْرَى »
