'A’isha said the people complained to God’s Messenger of the lack of rain, so he gave orders for a pulpit, and when it was set up for him in the place of prayer he appointed a day for the people on which they should come out. ‘A’isha said God’s Messenger came out when the rim of the sun appeared and sat down on the pulpit. Having declared God’s greatness and expressed His praise, he said, “You have complained of drought in your abodes and of delay in receiving rain at the beginning of its season, but God has ordered you to supplicate Him and has promised that He would answer your prayers.” Then he said, “Praise be to God, the Lord of the universe, the Compassionate, the Merciful, the Master of the day of judgment. There is no god but God who does what He wishes. O God, Thou art God than whom there is no god, the Rich, while we are the poor. Send down rain upon us and make what Thou
sendest down a strength and satisfaction for us for a time.” He then raised his hands and kept raising them till the whiteness under his armpits was visible. He then turned his back to the people and inverted (or, turned round) his cloak while keeping his hands aloft. He then faced the people, descended and prayed two rak'as. God then produced a cloud and a storm of thunder and lightning came on. Then it rained by God’s permission, and before he reached his mosque streams were flowing. When he saw the speed with which the people sought shelter he laughed till his back teeth were visible. Then he said, “I testify that God is omnipotent and that I am God’s servant and Messenger.”

عائشہ ؓ بیان کرتی ہیں ، صحابہ نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے قحط سالی کی شکایت کی تو آپ ﷺ نے منبر کا حکم فرمایا تو اسے آپ کے لیے عید گاہ میں رکھ دیا گیا ، آپ ﷺ نے صحابہ سے ایک معین دن کا وعدہ فرمایا ، وہ اس روز باہر نکلے ، عائشہ ؓ بیان کرتی ہیں جب سورج کا کنارہ ظاہر ہوا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ بھی تشریف لے گئے ، آپ منبر پر بیٹھ گئے اللہ کی کبریائی اور حمد بیان کی ، پھر فرمایا :’’ تم نے اپنے علاقوں کی قحط سالی اور بروقت بارشوں کے نہ ہونے کی شکایت کی ہے ، اللہ نے تمہیں حکم دیا ہے کہ تم اس سے دعا کرو اور اس نے دعا کی قبولیت کا تم سے وعدہ کر رکھا ہے ۔‘‘ پھر آپ ﷺ نے یوں دعا کی :’’ ہر قسم کی تعریف اللہ کے لیے ہے جو تمام جہانوں کا رب ہے ، جو بہت مہربان نہایت رحم والا ، روز جزا کا مالک ہے ، اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں ، وہ جو چاہتا ہے کر گزرتا ہے ، اے اللہ ! تو اللہ ہے ، تیرے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں ، تو غنی ہے اور ہم فقراء ، ہم پر بارش برسا ، اور جو تو (بارش) نازل فرمائے اسے ہمارے لیے ایک مدت تک قوت اور (مقاصد تک) پہنچنے کا ذریعہ بنا ۔‘‘ پھر آپ نے ہاتھ بلند کیے اور انہیں بلند کرتے رہے حتیٰ کہ آپ کے بغلوں کی سفیدی نظر آنے لگی ، پھر آپ نے لوگوں کی طرف اپنی پیٹھ کر دی اور اپنی چادر پلٹی ، اور آپ نے ابھی تک ہاتھ اٹھائے رکھے ، پھر لوگوں کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے ، اور نیچے اتر کر دو رکعتیں پڑھیں ، پس اللہ نے بادل کی ایک ٹکڑی بھیجی ، گرج چمک پیدا ہوئی تو پھر اللہ کے حکم سے بارش ہونے لگی ، آپ ابھی اپنی مسجد تک تشریف نہیں لائے تھے کہ نالے بہنے لگے جب آپ ﷺ نے انہیں اپنی جھونپڑیوں کی طرف دوڑتے ہوئے دیکھا تو آپ ہنسنے لگے حتیٰ کہ آپ کی داڑھیں نظر آنے لگیں ۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے اور بے شک میں اللہ کا بندہ اور اس کا رسول ہوں ۔‘‘ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ ابوداؤد ۔
Ayesha بیان کرتی hain, Sahaba ne Rasul Allah se qehat saali ki shikayat ki to aap ne mimbar ka hukum farmaya to use aap ke liye Eid gah mein rakh diya gaya, aap ne Sahaba se ek muayyan din ka wada farmaya, woh us roz bahar nikle, Ayesha بیان karti hain jab Suraj ka kinara zahir hua to Rasul Allah bhi tashreef le gaye, aap mimbar par baith gaye Allah ki kibriyaai aur hamd bayan ki, phir farmaya: ''Tum ne apne ilaqon ki qehat saali aur bar waqt barishon ke na hone ki shikayat ki hai, Allah ne tumhen hukum diya hai ki tum us se dua karo aur us ne dua ki qabooliyat ka tum se wada kar rakha hai.'' Phir aap ne yun dua ki: ''Har qisam ki tareef Allah ke liye hai jo tamam jahano ka Rab hai, jo bohat meharban nihayat reham wala, roz jaza ka malik hai, Allah ke siwa koi mabood bar haq nahin, woh jo chahta hai kar guzarta hai, aye Allah! tu Allah hai, tere siwa koi mabood bar haq nahin, tu gani hai aur hum fuqara, hum par barish barsa, aur jo tu (barish) nazil farmaye use hamare liye ek muddat tak quwwat aur (maqasid tak) pohanchne ka zariya bana.'' Phir aap ne hath buland kiye aur unhen buland karte rahe hatta ki aap ke bagalon ki safedi nazar aane lagi, phir aap ne logon ki taraf apni peeth kar di aur apni chadar palti, aur aap ne abhi tak hath uthaye rakhe, phir logon ki taraf mutawajja hue, aur neeche utar kar do rakatain parhin, pas Allah ne badal ki ek tukri bheji, garaj chamak paida hui to phir Allah ke hukum se barish hone lagi, aap abhi apni masjid tak tashreef nahin laaye the ki nale behne lage jab aap ne unhen apni jhopdiyon ki taraf daudate hue dekha to aap hansne lage hatta ki aap ki daarhen nazar aane lagi. Aap ne farmaya: ''Main gawahi deta hun ki Allah har cheez par qadir hai aur be shak main Allah ka banda aur us ka Rasul hun.'' Isnadah hasan, Riwayat Abu Dawood.
