Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “Seek refuge in God from severe calamity, being overtaken by misery, (1) evil destiny, and the triumphant mockery of enemies.”
1.darak ash-shaqa. It might be translated “the depth of misery.” Cf. Qur’an, iv, 145 where the accepted reading isdark, although the word has also been readdarak.

ابوہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ آزمائش کی شدت ، بدبختی کی آمد ، تقدیر کی زحمت اور دشمنوں کی خوشی سے اللہ کی پناہ طلب کرو ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Abu Huraira bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne farmaya: "Aazmaish ki shiddat, badbakhti ki aamad, taqdeer ki zahmat aur dushmanon ki khushi se Allah ki panaah talab karo." Muttafiq alaih.
Anas said that the Prophet used to say, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from care, grief, incapacity, slackness, cowardliness, niggardliness, the burden of debt, and being overpowered by men.”

انس ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، نبی ﷺ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں فکر و غم ، عاجزی اور سستی ، بزدلی اور بخل ، قرضے کے بوجھ اور لوگوں کے غلبے سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Anas bayan karte hain, Nabi dua kya karte thay: “Aye Allah! Main fikr o gham, aajzi aur susti, buzdali aur buxl, qarze ke bojh aur logon ke zulm se teri panaah chahta hun.” Mutaffiq alaih.
‘A’isha said that the Prophet used to say, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from slackness, decrepitude, debt and sin. O God, I seek refuge in Thee from the punishment in hell, the trial [which leads to] hell, the trial in the grave, (2) the punishment in the grave, the evil of the trial of riches, the evil of the trial of poverty, (3) and the evil of the testing of the antichrist. (4) O God, wash away my sins with snow and hail water, purify my heart as a white garment is purified from filth, and put my sins as far away from me as Thou hast put the East from the West.”

عائشہ ؓ بیان کرتی ہیں ، نبی ﷺ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں سستی ، بڑھاپے ، تاوان اور گناہ سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ، اے اللہ ! میں آگ کے عذاب ، آگ کے فتنہ ، قبر کے فتنے ، قبر کے عذاب ، تونگری کے فتنہ کے شر سے ، فقر کے فتنہ کے شر سے اور مسیح دجال کے فتنہ کے شر سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ، اے اللہ ! میرے گناہوں کو برف اور اولوں کے پانی سے دھو دے ، میرے دل کو ایسے صاف کر دے جس طرح سفید کپڑے کو میل سے صاف کیا جاتا ہے ، اور میرے درمیان اور میرے گناہوں کے درمیان ایسی دوری پیدا فرما دے جیسے تو نے مشرق و مغرب کے درمیان دوری پیدا فرمائی ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Ayesha بیان کرتی ہیں ، نبی دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں سستی ، بڑھاپے ، تاوان اور گناہ سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ، اے اللہ ! میں آگ کے عذاب ، آگ کے فتنہ ، قبر کے فتنہ ، قبر کے عذاب ، تونگری کے فتنہ کے شر سے ، فقر کے فتنہ کے شر سے اور مسیح دجال کے فتنہ کے شر سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ، اے اللہ ! میرے گناہوں کو برف اور اولوں کے پانی سے دھو دے ، میرے دل کو ایسے صاف کر دے جس طرح سفید کپڑے کو میل سے صاف کیا جاتا ہے ، اور میرے درمیان اور میرے گناہوں کے درمیان ایسی دوری پیدا فرما دے جیسے تو نے مشرق و مغرب کے درمیان دوری پیدا فرمائی ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Zaid b. Arqam said that God’s messenger used to say, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from incapacity, slackness, cowardliness, niggardliness, decrepitude, and the punishment in the grave. O God, bring my soul to fear of Thee and purify it; Thou art the best of those who purify it; Thou art its Patron and Master. O God, I seek refuge in Thee from knowledge which does not profit, from a heart which is not submissive, from an appetite which is insatiable, and from a supplication which is not granted an answer.”
Muslim transmitted it.

زید بن ارقم ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں عاجزی اور سستی ، بزدلی اور بخل ، بڑھاپے اور عذاب قبر سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ، اے اللہ ! میرے نفس کو اس کا تقویٰ عطا فرما ، اس کا تزکیہ فرما اور تو بہترین تزکیہ کرنے والا ہے ، تو اس کا کارساز و مددگار ہے ، اے اللہ ! میں ایسے علم سے جو نفع مند نہ ہو ، ایسے دل سے جو ڈرتا نہ ہو ، ایسے نفس سے جو بھرتا نہ ہو اور ایسی دعا سے جو قبول نہ ہو تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Zayd bin Arqam RA bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah SAW dua kiya karte the: “Ae Allah! main aajzi aur susti, buzdali aur bukhl, burhape aur azab qabar se teri panaah chahta hun, Ae Allah! mere nafs ko iska taqwa ata farma, iska tazkiya farma aur tu behtarin tazkiya karne wala hai, tu iska kar saaz o madadgar hai, Ae Allah! main aise ilm se jo naفع mand na ho, aise dil se jo darta na ho, aise nafs se jo bharta na ho aur aisi dua se jo qabool na ho teri panaah chahta hun.” Riwayat Muslim.
‘Abdallah b. ‘Umar said that one of the supplications of God’s messenger was, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from the decline of Thy favour, change in Thy granting wellbeing, sudden vengeance from Thee, and all Thy displeasure.”
Muslim transmitted it.

عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں تیری نعمت کے زائل ہو جانے ، تیری عافیت کے بدل جانے ، تیرے عذاب کے ناگہاں آ جانے سے اور تیری تمام ناراضیوں سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Abdullah bin Umar RA bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah SAW dua kiya karte the: “Aye Allah! Main teri naimat ke zael ho jane, teri aafiyat ke badal jane, tere azab ke naghan aa jane se aur teri tamam naraaziyon se teri panah chahta hun.” Riwayat Muslim.
‘A’isha said that God’s messenger used to say, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from the evil of what I have done and from the evil of what I have not done.”
Muslim transmitted it.

عائشہ ؓ بیان کرتی ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں نے جو عمل کیا اس کے شر سے اور جو عمل نہیں کیا اس کے شر سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ رواہ مسلم ۔
Ayesha bayan karti hain, Rasool Allah dua kiya karte thay: “Aye Allah! Main ne jo amal kiya uske shar se aur jo amal nahin kiya uske shar se teri panaah chahta hun.” Riwayat Muslim.
Ibn ‘Abbas said that God’s messenger used to say, “O God, to Thee I have submitted, in Thee I believe, on Thee I rely, to Thee I turn in repentance, and by Thee I contend. O God, I seek refuge in Thy might, than whom there is no god, lest Thou leadest me into error. Thou art the Living One who dost not die, while jinn and men die.”

ابن عباس ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں نے تیری اطاعت اختیار کی ، میں تجھ پر ایمان لایا ، تجھ پر توکل کیا ، تیری طرف رجوع کیا ، تیری توفیق سے (دشمنوں کے ساتھ) جھگڑا کیا ، اے اللہ ! میں تیری عزت و غلبہ کی پناہ چاہتا ہوں کہ تو مجھے گمراہ کر دے ، تیرے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں ، تو زندہ ہے جسے موت نہیں آئے گی جبکہ جن اور انسان فوت ہو جائیں گے ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ۔
Ibn Abbas se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah dua kiya karte thay: "Aye Allah! Main ne teri ita'at ikhtiyar ki, main tujh par iman laya, tujh par tawakkal kiya, teri taraf rujoo kiya, teri taufeeq se (dushmanon ke sath) jhagda kiya, aye Allah! Main teri izzat o ghalba ki panah chahta hun keh tu mujhe gumrah kar de, tere siwa koi mabood barhaq nahin, tu zinda hai jise mout nahin ayegi jab keh jinn aur insan فوت ho jayenge." Mutafaqu alaihi.
Abu Huraira said that God’s messenger used to say, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from the four things:knowledge which does not profit, a heart which is not submissive, an appetite which is insatiable, and a supplication which is not heard.”
Ahmad, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it. Tirmidhi transmitted it from ‘Abdallah b. 'Amr, and Nasa’i from both sources.

Imam Tirmidhi narrated it from Abdullah bin Amr, and Imam Nasa'i narrated it from both of them (Abdullah bin Amr and Abu Hurairah). Hasan, narrated by Tirmidhi and Nasa'i.

امام ترمذی ؒ نے اسے عبداللہ بن عمرو ؓ سے اور امام نسائی ؒ نے ان دونوں (عبداللہ بن عمرو ؓ اور ابوہریرہ ؓ) سے روایت کیا ہے ۔ حسن ، رواہ الترمذی و النسائی ۔
Imam Tirmidhi ne ise Abdullah bin Amr se aur Imam Nasai ne in donon (Abdullah bin Amr aur Abu Hurairah) se riwayat kiya hai. Hasan, Rawahu Tirmidhi wa al-Nasa'i.
‘Umar said that God’s messenger used to seek refuge in God from five things:cowardliness, niggardliness, the evils of old age, evil thoughts, and the punishment in the grave.
Abu Dawud and Nasa'i transmitted it.

عمر ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ پانچ چیزوں سے پناہ طلب کیا کرتے تھے : بزدلی اور بخل سے ، عمر کی خرابی سے ، سینہ کے فتنے (یعنی وسوسے) سے اور عذاب قبر سے ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ ابوداؤد و النسائی ۔
Umar RA bayan karte hain, Rasul Allah SAW paanch cheezon se panah talab kiya karte the: buzdli aur bukhl se, umar ki kharabi se, seene ke fitne (yani waswase) se aur azab qabar se. Isnadah zaeef, riwayat Abu Dawood wa al-Nisa'i.
Abu Huraira said that God’s messenger used to say, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from poverty, lack and abasement, and I seek refuge in Thee lest I cause or suffer wrong.”
Abu Dawud and Nasa'i transmitted it.

ابوہریرہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں فقر و قلت اور ذلت سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ، اور میں تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں کہ میں ظلم کروں یا مجھ پر ظلم کیا جائے ۔‘‘ اسنادہ صحیح ، رواہ ابوداؤد و النسائی ۔
Abu Huraira RA se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah SAW dua kia karte thy: Aye Allah! mein faqar o qillat aur zillat se teri panaah chahta hun, aur mein teri panaah chahta hun keh mein zulm karun ya mujh par zulm kia jaye. Isnadahu Sahih, Riwayat Abu Dawood o Nisa'i.
He said that God’s messenger used to say, "O God, I seek refuge in Thee from divisiveness, hypocrisy and evil character."
Abu Dawud transmitted it.

ابوہریرہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں تنازع و اختلاف ، نفاق اور برے اخلاق سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ ابوداؤد و النسائی ۔
Abu Hurairah RA se riwayat hai keh Rasul Allah SAW dua kiya karte thay: "Aye Allah! main tanaazu-o-ikhtilaf, nifaaq aur burey akhlaaq se teri panaah chahta hun." Isnadah zaeef, Rawahu Abu Dawood wa al-Nisa'i.
He said that God’s messenger used to say, "O God, I seek refuge in Thee from hunger, for it is an evil bedfellow; and I seek refuge in Thee from treachery, for it is an evil hidden trait." 1

ابوہریرہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں بھوک سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ، کیونکہ وہ برا ساتھی ہے ، اور میں خیانت سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں کیونکہ وہ بری خصلت ہے ۔‘‘ سندہ ضعیف ، رواہ ابوداؤد و النسائی و ابن ماجہ ۔
Abu Huraira se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah dua kiya karte the: Aye Allah! mein bhook se teri panaah chahta hun, kyunki woh bura saathi hai, aur mein khianat se teri panaah chahta hun kyunki woh buri khaslat hai. Sanda zaeef, Riwayat Abu Dawood o al-Nisa'i wa Ibn Majah.
Anas said that God’s messenger used to say, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from leprosy, elephantiasis, madness, and evil diseases.”
Abu Dawud and Nasa’i transmitted it.
Grade: Da'if
انس ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں برص و جذام (پھلبہری اور کوڑھ کی بیماری) ، جنون اور بُری بیماریوں سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ ابوداؤد و النسائی ۔
Anas RA se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah SAW dua kya karte thy: Aye Allah! mein baras o juzzaam (phalbari aur koodh ki bimari), junoon aur buri bimariyon se teri panaah chahta hun. Isnad zaeef, Rawahu Abu Dawood o al-Nisa'i.
Qutba b. Malik said that the Prophet used to say, "O God, I seek refuge in Thee from objectionable characteristics, deeds and passions."
Tirmidhi transmitted it.

قطبہ بن مالک ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، نبی ﷺ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں برے اخلاق ، بُرے اعمال اور بُری خواہشات سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ صحیح ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Qatba bin Malik RA bayan karte hain, Nabi SAW dua kiya karte the: “Aye Allah! Main burey akhlaq, burey aamaal aur buri khwahishat se teri panaah chahta hun.” Sahih, Riwayat Tirmidhi.
Shutair b. Shakal b. Humaid said that his father asked God’s Prophet to teach him a formula by which he might seek refuge in God, and he told him to say, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from evil in what I hear, see, speak, think about, and from evil arising from my sexual passion.”
Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi and Nasa’i transmitted it.

شُتیر بن شکل بن حُمید اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں ، انہوں نے کہا ، میں نے عرض کیا ، اللہ کے نبی ! مجھے کوئی ایسا دم سکھائیں کہ میں اس کے ذریعے پناہ حاصل کیا کروں ۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا : کہو :’’ اے اللہ ! میں اپنے کان ، اپنی آنکھ ، اپنی زبان ، اپنے دل اور اپنی منی کی برائی سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ ابوداؤد و الترمذی و النسائی ۔
Shuter bin shakal bin Humaid apne walid se riwayat karte hain, unhon ne kaha, main ne arz kiya, Allah ke Nabi! mujhe koi aisa dam sikhaen keh main us ke zariye panah hasil kiya karoon. Aap ne farmaya: kaho: “Aye Allah! main apne kaan, apni aankh, apni zaban, apne dil aur apni mani ki burai se teri panah chahta hoon.”
Isnaadahu hasan, riwayat Abu Dawood wa Tirmidhi wa Nisa’i.
Abul Yasar said, that God’s messenger used to make this supplication, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from my house falling on me; I seek refuge, in Thee from falling into an abyss, drowning, burning and decrepitude; I seek refuge in Thee from the devil harming me at the time of my death; I seek refuge in Thee from dying in Thy path while retreating; and I seek refuge in Thee from dying of the sting of a poisonous creature.”
Abu Dawud and Nasa’i transmitted it. In another version Nasa’i added, “and from sorrow.”

ابویسر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں کہ کوئی عمارت مجھ پر گر پڑے ، میں کسی اونچی جگہ سے گرنے ، ڈوب جانے ، جل جانے اور بڑھاپے سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ، اور میں تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں کہ موت کے وقت شیطان مجھے مخبوط الحواس بنا دے ، اور میں تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں کہ میں تیری راہ میں پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگتے ہوئے فوت ہوں ، اور میں تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں کہ کسی چیز کے ڈسنے سے میری موت واقع ہو ۔‘‘ ابوداؤد ، نسائی ، اور انہوں نے دوسری روایت میں یہ اضافہ نقل کیا ہے :’’ اور غم سے ۔‘‘ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ ابوداؤد و النسائی ۔
Abu Yasir RA se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah SAW dua kya karte thy: "Aye Allah! Main teri panaah chahta hun ki koi imarat mujh par gir paray, main kisi unchi jaga se girne, doob jane, jal jane aur budhape se teri panaah chahta hun, aur main teri panaah chahta hun ki maut ke waqt shaitan mujhe makhboot ul hawas bana de, aur main teri panaah chahta hun ki main teri rah main peeth phair kar bhagte huye foot hun, aur main teri panaah chahta hun ki kisi cheez ke dasne se meri maut waqe ho." Abu Dawood, Nisai, aur unhon ne dusri riwayat main ye izafa naqal kya hai: "Aur gham se." Isnadahu Hasan, Rawahu Abu Dawood wa Nisai.
Mu'adh reported the Prophet as saying, “Seek refuge in God from covetousness which leads to disgrace.”
Ahmad and Baihaqi, in [Kitab]ad-Da'awat al-kabir, transmitted it.

معاذ ؓ نبی ﷺ سے روایت کرتے ہیں، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اللہ سے ایسی طمع سے پناہ طلب کرو جو گناہ کی طرف لے جائے ۔‘‘ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ احمد و البیھقی ۔
Muaz RA Nabi SAW se riwayat karte hain aap SAW ne farmaya Allah se aisi tamanna se panah talab karo jo gunah ki taraf le jaye Isnaad e zaeef riwayat Ahmad wa al baihaqi
‘A’isha told of the Prophet looking at the moon and saying, “Seek refuge in God from the evil of this one, ‘A'isha, for this is the darkness when it overspreads.” 2

عائشہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے چاند کی طرف دیکھا تو فرمایا :’’ عائشہ ؓ ! اس کے شر سے اللہ کی پناہ طلب کرو ، کیونکہ یہی وہ غاسق ہے جب بے نور ہو جائے ۔‘‘ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Ayesha RA se riwayat hai keh Nabi SAW ne chand ki taraf dekha to farmaya: "Ayesha RA! Iss ke shar se Allah ki panaah talab karo, kyunki yahi woh ghasiq hai jab be-noor ho jaye." Isnaadahu hasan, riwayatul Tirmizi.
'Imran b. Husain told of the Prophet asking his father, “How many gods do you worship to-day, Husain?” His father replied, “Seven, six in the earth and one in heaven.” He asked, “Which of them do you take account of regarding your hopes and your fears?” On receiving his reply that it was the one in heaven, he said, “If you were to accept Islam, Husain, I would teach you two phrases which would benefit you.” When Husain accepted Islam" he asked God’s messenger to teach him the two phrases he had promised him, and he told him to say, “O God, direct me in the right way and deliver me from the evil within myself.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it.

عمران بن حصین ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، نبی ﷺ نے میرے والد سے فرمایا :’’ حصین ! آج تم کتنے معبودوں کی پوجا کرتے ہو ؟‘‘ میرے والد نے کہا : سات کی ، چھ زمین پر ہیں اور ایک آسمان میں ہے ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ تم اپنے نفع و نقصان کے لئے کسے خاص کرتے ہو ؟‘‘ اس نے کہا : جو آسمانوں میں ہے ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ حصین ! سن لو ! اگر تم اسلام قبول کر لو تو میں تمہیں دو کلمے سکھاؤں گا جو تمہیں فائدہ پہنچائیں گے ۔‘‘ راوی بیان کرتے ہیں ، جب حصین مسلمان ہو گئے تو انہوں نے عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! مجھے وہ دو کلمے سکھائیں جن کا آپ نے مجھ سے وعدہ کیا تھا ، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ کہو :’’ اے اللہ ! میری بھلائی مجھے الہام فرما دے ، اور مجھے میرے نفس کی خرابی سے بچا لے ۔‘‘ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ الترمذی ۔
Imran bin Husn RA bayan karte hain, Nabi SAW ne mere walid se farmaya: "Hussain! aaj tum kitne maboodon ki pooja karte ho?" mere walid ne kaha: saat ki, chhe zameen par hain aur ek aasman mein hai, aap SAW ne farmaya: "tum apne nuqsan o nafa ke liye kise khas karte ho?" usne kaha: jo aasmanon mein hai, aap SAW ne farmaya: "Hussain! sun lo! agar tum Islam qubool kar lo to main tumhen do kalme sikhaunga jo tumhen faida pahunchayenge." raavi bayan karte hain, jab Hussain musalman ho gaye to unhon ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! mujhe wo do kalme sikhaen jin ka aap ne mujhse wada kiya tha, aap SAW ne farmaya: "kaho: 'ae Allah! meri bhalai mujhe ilham farma de, aur mujhe mere nafs ki kharabi se bacha le." isnaad-e-zaeef, riwayat-ut-Tirmizi.
‘Amr b. Shu'aib, on his father’s authority, said that his grandfather reported God’s messenger as saying that when anyone was alarmed while asleep he should say, “I seek refuge in God's perfect words from His anger, His punishment, the evil of His servants, the evil suggestions of the devils and their presence,” for they will not injure him. 'Abdallah b. ‘Amr used to teach them to those of his children who had reached puberty and those who had not. He wrote them down on some material (1) and hung the writing on the child’s neck.

عمرو بن شعیب اپنے والد سے اور وہ اپنے دادا سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص نیند میں گھبرا جائے تو وہ یوں کہے :’’ میں اللہ کے کامل کلمات کے ذریعے ، اس کے غضب ، اس کے عقاب ، اس کے بندوں کے شر اور شیاطین کے وسوسوں سے کہ وہ میرے پاس آئیں ، پناہ چاہتا ہوں ‘‘ وہ (وسوسے) اسے ہرگز نقصان نہیں پہنچائیں گے ۔‘‘ عبداللہ بن عمرو ؓ اپنے بالغ بچوں کو یہ کلمات سکھایا کرتے تھے ، اور جو ابھی بالغ نہیں ہوئے تھے تو آپ انہیں کاغذ پر لکھ کر ان کے گلے میں ڈال دیا کرتے تھے ۔ ابوداؤد ، ترمذی ۔ اور یہ الفاظ ترمذی کے ہیں ۔ اسنادہ ضعیف ، رواہ ابوداؤد و الترمذی ۔
Amr bin Shoaib apne walid se aur wo apne dada se riwayat karte hain ki Rasul Allah ﷺ ne farmaya: ''Jab tum mein se koi shakhs neend mein ghabraya jaye to wo yun kahe: ''Main Allah ke kamil kalmat ke zariye, uske ghazab, uske azab, uske bandon ke shar aur shayateen ke waswason se ke wo mere pas aayein, panah chahta hun'' wo (waswase) use hargiz nuqsan nahin pahunchaenge.'' Abdullah bin Amr ؓ apne baligh bachchon ko ye kalmat sikhaya karte the, aur jo abhi baligh nahin hue the to aap unhen kaghaz par likh kar unke gale mein daal diya karte the. Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi. Aur ye alfaz Tirmidhi ke hain. Isnaadahu zaeef, riwayahu Abu Dawood wa Tirmidhi.
Anas reported God’s messsenger as saying that if anyone asks God for paradise three times, paradise will say, ‘‘O God, bring him into paradise;” and if anyone asks for protection from hell three times, hell will say, "O God, grant him protection from hell.”
Tirmidhi and Nasa’i transmitted it.

انس ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ جو شخص تین مرتبہ اللہ سے جنت کا سوال کرتا ہے تو جنت کہتی ہے : اے اللہ ! اسے جنت میں داخل فرما ، اور جو شخص تین مرتبہ جہنم سے پناہ طلب کرتا ہے تو جہنم عرض کرتی ہے : اے اللہ ! اسے جہنم سے بچا ۔‘‘ صحیح ، رواہ الترمذی و النسائی ۔
Anas bayan karte hain, Rasool Allah ne farmaya: "Jo shakhs teen martaba Allah se Jannat ka sawal karta hai to jannat kehti hai: Aye Allah! Use Jannat mein dakhil farma, aur jo shakhs teen martaba Jahannum se panah talab karta hai to Jahannum arz karti hai: Aye Allah! Use Jahannum se bacha." Sahih, Riwayat Tirmidhi wa Nasa'i.
Al-Qa'qa' reported Ka‘b al-Ahbar as saying, “Were it not for some words which I say, the Jews would treat me as an ass.” (2) He was asked what they were and replied, “I seek refuge in God’s mighty Person than which nothing is mightier, in God’s perfect words which no one, whether pious or profligate, can go beyond and in God’s beautiful names, those which I know and those which I do not know, from the evil of what He has created, produced and brought into being.”

قعقاع بیان کرتے ہیں ، کعب احبار نے کہا : اگر میں چند کلمات نہ کہوں تو یہودی (جادو کے ذریعے) مجھے گدھا بنا دیں ، ان سے پوچھا گیا ، وہ کلمات کون سے ہیں ؟ انہوں نے کہا : میں اللہ عظیم کے چہرے کے ذریعے پناہ حاصل کرتا ہوں جس سے بڑھ کر کوئی چیز نہیں ، اور اللہ کے کامل کلمات کے ذریعے (پناہ حاصل کرتا ہوں) جن سے کوئی نیک تجاوز کر سکتا ہے نہ کوئی فاجر ، اور اللہ کے اسمائے حسنی کے ذریعے جنہیں میں جانتا ہوں اور جنہیں میں نہیں جانتا ، ہر چیز کے شر سے پناہ چاہتا ہوں جو اس نے پیدا فرمائی اور پھیلائی اور مناسب بنائی ۔ اسنادہ صحیح ، رواہ مالک ۔

Muslim b. Abu Bakra said:My father used to say at the end of the prayer, “O God, I seek refuge in Thee from infidelity, poverty and the punishment in the grave.” I used to say these words also, so he asked me, “From whom did you get this, sonny?” When I told him that I had got it from him, he said that God’s messenger used to say these words at the end of the prayer.
Nasa'i and Tirmidhi transmitted it, but the latter did not mention "at the end of the prayer." Ahmad transmitted the wording of the tradition, but he had, "at the end of every prayer."

مسلم بن ابی بکرہ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میرے والد نماز کے بعد دعا کیا کرتے تھے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں کفر و فقر اور عذاب قبر سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ میں بھی انہیں پڑھا کرتا تھا ، انہوں نے کہا : بیٹا تم نے انہیں کس سے سیکھا ہے ؟ میں نے عرض کیا ، آپ سے ، انہوں نے فرمایا : رسول اللہ ﷺ انہیں نماز کے بعد کہا کرتے تھے ۔ ترمذی ، نسائی ۔ البتہ امام ترمذی ؒ نے ’’ نماز کے بعد ‘ کا ذکر نہیں کیا ۔ اور امام احمد ؒ نے حدیث کے الفاظ روایت کیے اور ان کی روایت میں ہے ’’ ہر نماز کے بعد ۔‘‘ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ النسائی و الترمذی و احمد ۔
Muslim bin Abi Bakra bayan karte hain, mere walid namaz ke baad dua kiya karte the: “Aye Allah! Main kufr o faqr aur azab qabar se teri panaah chahta hun.” Main bhi unhen parha karta tha, unhon ne kaha: Beta tum ne inhen kis se sikha hai? Main ne arz kiya, aap se, unhon ne farmaya: Rasul Allah SAW inhen namaz ke baad kaha karte the. Tirmizi, Nisai. Albatta Imam Tirmizi RH ne “namaz ke baad” ka zikr nahin kiya. Aur Imam Ahmad RH ne hadees ke alfaz riwayat kiye aur un ki riwayat mein hai “har namaz ke baad.” Isnaadahu hasan, riwayat al-Nisa’i wa al-Tirmizi wa Ahmad.
Abu Sa'id said he heard God’s messenger say, "I seek refuge in God from infidelity and debt." A man asked him whether he treated infidelity on a level with debt, and he replied that he did. A version has, "O God, I seek refuge in Thee from infidelity and poverty." A man asked whether they were equal, and replied that they were.
Nasa’i transmitted it.

ابوسعید ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا :’’ اے اللہ ! میں کفر و قرض سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ کسی آدمی نے عرض کیا : اللہ کے رسول ! کیا کفر ، قرض کے برابر ہے ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ہاں !‘‘ اور دوسری روایت میں ہے :’’ اے اللہ ! میں کفر و فقر سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔‘‘ کسی آدمی نے عرض کیا : وہ دونوں برابر ہیں ؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ ہاں !‘‘ اسنادہ حسن ، رواہ النسائی ۔
Abu Saeed bayan karte hain, main ne Rasool Allah ko farmate huye suna : '' Aye Allah ! main kufr o qarz se teri panaah chahta hun .'' Kisi aadmi ne arz kiya : Allah ke Rasool ! kya kufr , qarz ke barabar hai ? Aap ne farmaya : '' Haan ! '' aur dusri riwayat mein hai : '' Aye Allah ! main kufr o faqr se teri panaah chahta hun .'' Kisi aadmi ne arz kiya : Woh dono barabar hain ? Aap ne farmaya : '' Haan ! '' Isnaadahu hasan, riwayatin Nisai.
