Urwa bin al Mughira bin Shu'ba reported it on the authority of his father that he said: The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) lagged behind (in a journey) and I also lagged behind along with him. After having relieved himself he said: Have you any water with you? I brought to him a jar of water; he washed his palms, and face, and when he tried to get his forearms out (he could not) for the sleeve of the gown was tight. He, therefore, brought them out from under the gown and, throwing it over his shoulders, he washed his forearm. He then wiped his forelock and his turban and his socks. He then mounted and I also mounted (the ride) and came to the people. They had begun the prayer with 'Abdur Rabmin bin 'Auf (رضي الله تعالى عنه) leading them and had completed a rak'a. When he perceived the presence of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) he began to retire. He (the Prophet ﷺ) signed to him to continue and offered prayer along with them. Then when he had pronounced the salutation, the Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) got up and I also got up with him, and we offered the rak'a which had been finished before we came.
حضرت مغیرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں: کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پیچھے رہ گئے اور میں بھی آپ کے ساتھ پیچھے رہ گیا، تو جب قضائے حاجت سے فارغ ہوئے، پوچھا: ”کیا تیرے پاس پانی ہے؟“ تو میں آپ کے پاس وضو کرنے کا برتن لایا، آپ نے اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اور چہرہ دھویا، پھر دونوں باہیں (کلائیاں) کھولنے لگے، تو جبے کی آستین تنگ پڑ گئیں، آپ نے اپنا ہاتھ جبہ کے نیچے سے نکالا اور جبہ کندھوں پر ڈال لیا، اور اپنی دونوں باہیں (کلائیاں) دھوئیں اور اپنی پیشانی اور پگڑی اور موزوں پر مسح کیا، پھر آپ سوار ہوئے اور میں بھی سوار ہوا اور ہم لوگوں کے پاس اس حال میں پہنچے کہ وہ عبد الرحمٰن بن عوفؓ کی اقتدا میں نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوچکے تھے، اور عبد الرحمٰنؓ نے ایک رکعت پڑھادی تھی۔ جب انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی تشریف آوری کو محسوس کیا، تو پیچھے ہٹنے لگے، آپ نے اشارہ کیا (نماز پوری کرو)، تو انہوں نے نماز پڑھادی، جب سلام پھیرا، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہو گئے اور میں بھی کھڑا ہوگیا، اور ہم نے وہ رکعت پڑھی جو ہم سے پہلے ہوچکی تھی۔“
Hazrat Mughira (Radi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain: ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) peechhe reh gaye aur main bhi Aap ke sath peechhe reh gaya, to jab qazaye hajat se farigh hue, poocha: "Kya tere paas pani hai?" To main Aap ke paas wazu karne ka bartan laya, Aap ne apne dono hath aur chehra dhoya, phir dono bahein (kalaiyan) kholne lage, to jubbe ki aasteen tang par gayin, Aap ne apna hath jubbe ke neeche se nikala aur jubba kandhon par daal liya, aur apni dono bahein (kalaiyan) dhoyen aur apni peshani aur pagri aur mozon par masah kiya, phir Aap sawar hue aur main bhi sawar hua aur hum logon ke paas is haal mein pahunche ke wo Abdur Rehman bin Auf (Radi Allahu Anhu) ki iqtada mein namaz ke liye khare hochuke the, aur Abdur Rehman (Radi Allahu Anhu) ne ek rak'at parhadi thi. Jab unhon ne Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki tashreef aawari ko mahsoos kiya, to peechhe hatne lage, Aap ne ishara kiya (namaz poori karo), to unhon ne namaz parhadi, jab salam phera, Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) khare ho gaye aur main bhi khara hogya, aur hum ne wo rak'at parhi jo hum se pehle hochuki thi.
وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ زُرَيْعٍ - حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ تَخَلَّفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَتَخَلَّفْتُ مَعَهُ فَلَمَّا قَضَى حَاجَتَهُ قَالَ " أَمَعَكَ مَاءٌ " . فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِمَطْهَرَةٍ فَغَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ وَوَجْهَهُ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ يَحْسِرُ عَنْ ذِرَاعَيْهِ فَضَاقَ كُمُّ الْجُبَّةِ فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَهُ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْجُبَّةِ وَأَلْقَى الْجُبَّةَ عَلَى مَنْكِبَيْهِ وَغَسَلَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ وَمَسَحَ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ وَعَلَى الْعِمَامَةِ وَعَلَى خُفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ رَكِبَ وَرَكِبْتُ فَانْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى الْقَوْمِ وَقَدْ قَامُوا فِي الصَّلاَةِ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَقَدْ رَكَعَ بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً فَلَمَّا أَحَسَّ بِالنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَهَبَ يَتَأَخَّرُ فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقُمْتُ فَرَكَعْنَا الرَّكْعَةَ الَّتِي سَبَقَتْنَا .
