It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘when Allah will gather (people) together, on the Day of Judgment, all the earlier and later generations of mankind, a flag will be raised (to mark off) every person guilty of breach of faith, and it will be announced that this is the perfidy of so and so, son of so and so.
امام صاحب مختلف اساتذہ کی سندوں سے، حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہما کی روایت بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کہ جب اللہ تعالیٰ قیامت کو پہلے، پچھلے تمام انسانوں کو جمع کرے گا تو ہر عہد شکن کے لیے ایک جھنڈا بلند کیا جائے گا اور کہا جائے گا، یہ فلاں بن فلاں کی عہد شکنی ہے۔“
Imam Sahab mukhtalif ustadon ki sanadon se, Hazrat Ibn Umar (Radi Allahu Anhuma) ki riwayat bayan karte hain ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: 'Ke jab Allah Ta'ala Qayamat ko pehle, pichle tamam insanon ko jama kare ga to har ahd-shikan ke liye ek jhanda buland kiya jaye ga aur kaha jaye ga, yeh falan bin falan ki ahd-shikani hai.'
This Hadith has also been narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) through other chains of transmitters.
امام صاحب دو اور اساتذہ سے، نافع ہی کی مذکورہ سند سے مذکورہ بالا حدیث بیان کرتے ہیں۔
Imam Sahab do aur ustadon se, Nafi' hi ki mazkurah sanad se mazkurah bala hadith bayan karte hain.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الْعَتَكِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ، الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّارِمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا صَخْرُ بْنُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ .

This Hadith is also narrated by another chain of transmitters on the authority of the same narrator, with the wording, ‘Allah will set up a flag for every person guilty of breach of faith on the Day of Judgment, and it will be announced, ‘look, this is the perfidy of so and so.
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ قیامت کے دن عہد شکن کے لیے ایک جھنڈا گاڑے گا اور کہا جائے گا، خبردار! یہ فلاں کی عہد شکنی ہے، (یعنی اس کی علامت و نشانی ہے۔)“
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhuma) bayan karte hain ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: 'Allah Ta'ala Qayamat ke din ahd-shikan ke liye ek jhanda gaare ga aur kaha jaye ga, khabardar! yeh falan ki ahd-shikani hai (yani is ki alamat o nishani hai).'
Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that he heard the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) saying, ‘there will be a flag for every perfidious person on the Day of Judgment.
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ”ہر عہد شکن کے لیے قیامت کے دن ایک جھنڈا ہو گا۔“
Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhuma) bayan karte hain ke main ne Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko yeh farmate hue suna: 'Har ahd-shikan ke liye Qayamat ke din ek jhanda hoga.'
Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, there will be a flag for every perfidious person on the Day of Judgment, and it would be said, ‘here is the perfidy of so and so’.
حضرت عبداللہ (ابن مسعود) رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ہر عہد شکن کے لیے قیامت کے دن ایک جھنڈا ہو گا، کہا جائے گا یہ فلاں کی عہد شکنی ہے۔“
Hazrat Abdullah (Ibn Mas'ood) (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: 'Har ahd-shikan ke liye Qayamat ke din ek jhanda hoga, kaha jaye ga yeh falan ki ahd-shikani hai.'
This Hadith has been narrated on the authority of Shu'ba with a slight variation of wording.
امام صاحب یہی حدیث دو اور اساتذہ سے، شعبہ کی مذکورہ بالا سند سے بیان کرتے ہیں، لیکن عبدالرحمٰن کی روایت میں یہ الفاظ نہیں ہیں، ”کہا جائے گا، یہ فلاں کی عہد شکنی ہے۔۔“
Imam Sahab yehi hadith do aur ustadon se, Shu'ba ki mazkurah bala sanad se bayan karte hain, lekin Abdul Rahman ki riwayat mein yeh alfaz nahi hain 'kaha jaye ga, yeh falan ki ahd-shikani hai.'
It has also been narrated on the authority of Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘there will be for every perfidious person on the Day of Judgment a flag by which he will be recognized. It will be announced, ‘here is the breach of faith of so and so’.
حضرت عبداللہ (ابن مسعود) رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”قیامت کے دن ہر عہد شکن کے پاس جھنڈا ہو گا، جس سے اسے پہچانا جائے گا، کہا جائے گا یہ فلاں کی عہد شکنی (کی علامت) ہے۔“
Hazrat Abdullah (Ibn Mas'ood) (Radi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: 'Qayamat ke din har ahd-shikan ke paas jhanda hoga, jis se ise pehchana jaye ga, kaha jaye ga yeh falan ki ahd-shikani (ki alamat) hai.'
Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ‘there would be a flag for every deceitful person on the Day of Judgment by which he will be recognized.
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ہر عہد شکن کے پاس قیامت کے دن ایک جھنڈا ہو گا، جس سے وہ پہچانا جائے گا۔“
Hazrat Anas (Radi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: 'Har ahd-shikan ke paas Qayamat ke din ek jhanda hoga, jis se woh pehchana jaye ga.'
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لِكُلِّ غَادِرٍ لِوَاءٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُعْرَفُ بِهِ " .
Sahih Muslim 1738a
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Sa'id (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘on the Day of Judgment there will be a flag fixed behind the buttocks of every person guilty of the breach of faith.
حضرت ابو سعید رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ہر عہد شکن کے لیے قیامت کے دن اس کی سرین پر جھنڈا ہو گا۔“
Hazrat Abu Sa'id (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: 'Har ahd-shikan ke liye Qayamat ke din is ki sareen par jhanda hoga.'
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ خُلَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لِكُلِّ غَادِرٍ لِوَاءٌ عِنْدَ اسْتِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Sahih Muslim 1738b
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Sa'id (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) said, ‘on the Day of Judgment there will be a flag for every person guilty of the breach of faith. It will be raised in proportion to the extent of his guilt; and there is no guilt of treachery more serious than the one committed by the ruler of men.
حضرت ابو سعید رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”قیامت کے دن ہر عہد شکن کے لیے جھنڈا ہو گا، جو اس کی عہد شکنی کے بقدر بلند کیا جائے گا اور خبردار! منتظم اعلیٰ (حکمران) سے بڑھ کر کوئی عہد شکن نہیں ہے۔“
Hazrat Abu Sa'id (Radi Allahu Anhu) bayan karte hain ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: 'Qayamat ke din har ahd-shikan ke liye jhanda hoga, jo is ki ahd-shikani ke baqadar buland kiya jaye ga aur khabardar! muntazim-e-aala (hukmaran) se barh kar koi ahd-shikan nahi hai.'
