Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that Usaid bin Hudair (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said,
one night he recited the Qur'an in his enclosure, when the horse began to jump about. He again recited and (the horse) again jumped. He again recited and it jumped as before. Usaid ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, ‘I was afraid lest it should trample (his son) Yahya. I stood near it (the horse) and saw something like a canopy over my head with what seemed to be lamps in it, rising up in the sky till it disappeared. I went to the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) next day and said, Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), I recited the Qur'an during the night in my enclosure and my horse began to jump. Upon this the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: You should have kept on reciting, Ibn Hudair (رضي الله تعالى عنه). He (Ibn Hudair ) said, I recited. It jumped (as before). Upon this the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) again said, you should have kept on reciting, Ibn Hudair (رضئ هللا تعالی عنہ). He (Ibn Hudair ) said, I recited and it again jumped (as before). The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) again said: You should kave kept on reciting, Ibu Hudair (رضي الله تعالى عنه). He (Ibn Hudair ) said, Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) I finished (the recitation) for Yahya was near (the horse) and I was afraid lest it should trample him. I saw something like a canopy with what seemed to be lamps in it rising up in the sky till it disappeared. Upon this the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘those were the angels who listened to you; and if you had continued reciting, the people would have seen them in the morning and they would not have concealed themselves from them.
حضرت ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، کہ حضرت اسید بن حضیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ایک رات اپنےکھلیان میں قراءت کر رہے تھے کہ اچانک ان کا گھوڑا یا گھوڑی کودنے لگی، وہ پڑھتے رہے، پھر وہ دوبارہ کودنے لگی، وہ پڑھتے رہے وہ پھرگردش کرنے لگی، اسید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کہتے ہیں مجھے خوف پیدا ہوا کہ وہ (میرے بیٹے) یحییٰ کو روند ڈالے گی، میں اٹھ کر گھوڑی کے پاس گیا تو اچانک میرے سر پر سائبان جیسی کوئی چیز تھی، اس میں چراغوں جیسی چیزیں تھیں، وہ سائبان فضا میں چڑھ گیا تھا حتیٰ کہ مجھے نظر آنا بند ہو گیا، میں صبح رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس گیا اور عرض کیا، اے اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! اس اثنا میں کہ میں کل آدھی رات اپنے کھلیان میں قراءت کر رہا تھا کہ اچانک میری گھوڑی چکر لگانے لگی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرما یا: ”اے ابن حضیر! پڑھتے رہتے۔“ میں نے کہا میں نےقراءت جاری رکھی، پھر وہ گھومی، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرما یا: ”اے ابن حضیر! پڑھتے رہتے۔“ میں نے کہا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کہا اے ابن حضیر پڑھتے رہتے میں نے کہا، میں ہٹ گیا، قراءت سے باز آ گیا۔ (میرا بیٹا) یحییٰ اس کے قریب تھا، میں ڈر گیا کہ وہ اسے روند دے گی تو میں نے سائبان جیسی چیز دیکھی، اس میں چراغوں جیسی چیزیں تھیں، وہ فضا میں چڑھنے لگی حتیٰ کہ میری نظروں سے اوجھل ہوگئی، اس پر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”وہ فرشتے تھے، تیری قراءت سن رہے تھے، اور اگر تم پڑھتے رہتے تو لوگ صبح ان کو دیکھ لیتے، وہ ان سے اوجھل نہ ہوتے۔“
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) bayan karte hain, ke Hazrat Usaid bin Hudhair (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) ek raat apne khaliyan mein qira'at kar rahe thay ke achannak un ka ghora ya ghori koodne lagi, wo parhte rahe, phir wo dobara koodne lagi, wo parhte rahe wo phir gardish karne lagi, Usaid (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) kehte hain mujhe khauf paida hua ke wo (mere betay) Yahya ko raund daale gi, mein uth kar ghori ke paas gaya to achannak mere sar par sayeban jaisi koi cheez thi, is mein chiraghon jaisi cheezein thin, wo sayeban faza mein charh gaya tha hatta ke mujhe nazar aana band ho gaya, mein subah Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas gaya aur arz kiya, Ae Allah ke Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)! is asna mein ke mein kal aadhi raat apne khaliyan mein qira'at kar raha tha ke achannak meri ghori chakkar lagane lagi to Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Ae Ibn Hudhair! parhte rehte." Mein ne kaha mein ne qira'at jari rakkhi, phir wo ghoomi, Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Ae Ibn Hudhair! parhte rehte." Mein ne kaha, Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne kaha Ae Ibn Hudhair parhte rehte mein ne kaha, mein hat gaya, qira'at se baz aa gaya. (Mera beta) Yahya us ke qareeb tha, mein darr gaya ke wo usay raund de gi to mein ne sayeban jaisi cheez dekhi, is mein chiraghon jaisi cheezein thin, wo faza mein charhne lagi hatta ke meri nazron se ojhal ho gayi, is par Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Wo farishte thay, teri qira'at sun rahe thay, aur agar tum parhte rehte to log subah un ko dekh lete, wo un se ojhal na hote."
