Sahih Muslim 1926b
It has been narrated (through another chain of transmitters) on the authority of Abu Huraira (رضئ للا تعالی عنہ) that the Apostle of Allah (صلى للا عليه و آله وسلم) said, when you travel (through a land) where there is plenty of vegetation, you should (go slow and) give the camels a chance to enjoy the benefit of the earth. When you travel (through a land) where there is scarcity of vegetation, you should hasten with them (so that you may be able to cross that land while your animals are still in a good condition of health). When you make a halt for the night, avoid (doing so on) the road, for the tracks are the pathways of wild beasts or the abode of noxious little animals.
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب تم سبزے میں سفر کرو، تو اونٹوں کو زمین سے ان کا حصہ دو اور جب تم قحط سالی میں سفر کرو، تو انہیں تیز چلاؤ، تاکہ ان کی قوت کمزور نہ پڑ جائے۔ (ان کی چربی ختم نہ ہو جائے کیونکہ پیاس سے چربی پگھل جاتی ہے) اور جب تم اخیر رات میں قیام کرو تو راستہ سے احتراز کرو، کیونکہ وہ جانوروں کا راستہ اور رات کو زہریلے کیڑوں کا ٹھکانہ ہوتا ہے۔“
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (Raziallahu Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Jab tum sabze mein safar karo, to oonton ko zameen se un ka hissa do aur jab tum qaht sali mein safar karo, to unhein tez chalao, taake un ki quwwat kamzor na pad jaye. (unki charbi khatam na ho jaye kyunke pyas se charbi pighal jati hai) aur jab tum akhir raat mein qiyam karo to rasta se ihtiraz karo, kyunke woh janwaron ka rasta aur raat ko zaheerle keedon ka thikana hota hai."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ - عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا سَافَرْتُمْ فِي الْخِصْبِ فَأَعْطُوا الإِبِلَ حَظَّهَا مِنَ الأَرْضِ وَإِذَا سَافَرْتُمْ فِي السَّنَةِ فَبَادِرُوا بِهَا نِقَيَهَا وَإِذَا عَرَّسْتُمْ فَاجْتَنِبُوا الطَّرِيقَ فَإِنَّهَا طُرُقُ الدَّوَابِّ وَمَأْوَى الْهَوَامِّ بِاللَّيْلِ " .
