Sahih Muslim 2039
Jabir bin Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported, when the ditch was dug, I saw Allah's Apostle (صلى هللا ِعليه ِو آله وسلم) feeling very hungry. I came to my wife and said to her, is there anything with you? I have seen Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) feeling extremely hungry. She brought out a bag of provisions which contained a sa', of barley. We had also with us a lamb. I slaughtered it. She ground the flour. She finished (this work) along with me. I cut it into pieces and put it in the earthen pot and then returned to Allah's Apostle (صلى ِهللا عليه و ِآله وسلم) (for inviting him). She said, do not humiliate me in the presence of Allah's Apostle (صلى ِهللا عليه و آله وسلم) and those who are with him. When I came to him, I whispered to him saying: Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), we have slaughtered a lamb for you, and she has ground a sa' of barley which we had with us. So, you come along with a group of people with you. Thereupon Allah's Apostle (صلى هللا عليه ِو آله وسلم) said loudly: O people of the ditch, Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) has arranged a feast for you, so (come along). Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, do not remove your earthen pot from the hearth and do not bake the bread from the kneaded flour until I come. So, I came, and Allah's Apostle (ِصلى هللا عليه ِو آله وسلم) came, and he was ahead of the people; and I came to my wife, and she said (to me): You will be humbled. I said, I did what you had asked me to do. She (his wife) said, I brought out the kneaded flour and Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) put some saliva of his in that and blessed it. He then put saliva in the earthen pot and blessed it and then said, call another baker who can bake with you and bring out the soup from it, but do not remove it from the hearth, and the guests were one thousand. Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, I take an oath by Allah that all of them ate (the food to their fill) until they left it and went away and our earthen pot was brimming over as before, and so was the case with our flour, or as Dahhak (another narrator) said, it (the flour) was in the same condition and loaves had been prepared from that.
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں، جب خندق کھودی جا رہی تھی، میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میں بھوک کا اثر محسوس کیا تو میں اپنی بیوی کی طرف لوٹا اور اس سے پوچھا: کیا تیرے پاس کوئی کھانے کی چیز ہے؟ میں نے دیکھا ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو سخت بھوک لگی ہے، اس نے مجھے ایک چمڑے کا تھیلا پیش کیا، جس میں ایک صاع جو تھے اور ہمارے پاس ایک چھوٹا سا پالتو چھترا تھا، میں نے اسے ذبح کیا اور اس نے جو پیسے اور میرے ساتھ ہی اس سے فارغ ہو گئی، میں نے گوشت چھوٹا چھوٹا کر کے ہانڈی میں ڈالا، پھر واپس رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف چل دیا، اس نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ساتھیوں سمیت لا کر مجھے رسوا نہ کرنا، میں آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور آپ سے سرگوشی کی، میں نے عرض کیا: اے اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! ہم نے اپنا ایک چھوٹا سا پالتو چھترا ذبح کیا اور بیوی نے ہمارے پاس ایک صاع جو تھے، پیس لیے ہیں تو آپ چند ساتھیوں کے ہمراہ تشریف لے آئیں تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بلند آواز سے فرمایا: ”اے خندق والو! جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے تمہاری دعوت کی ہے تو جلدی کرو“ اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اپنی ہانڈی ہرگز نہ اتارنا اور آٹے کی روٹیاں نہ پکانا، حتیٰ کہ میں آ جاؤں۔“ میں چل پڑا اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم لوگوں کے آگے چل پڑے، حتیٰ کہ میں بیوی کے پاس پہنچ گیا، (اس کو صورت حال بتائی) اس نے کہا: تیری وجہ سے ایسا ہوا تو ہی رسوا ہو گا، میں نے کہا: میں نے تو تیری بات پر عمل کیا تھا، اس نے آپ کے سامنے گندھا ہوا آٹا پیش کیا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس میں لعاب مبارک ڈالا اور برکت کی دعا فرمائی، پھر آپ نے ہماری ہنڈیا کا رخ کیا، اس میں لعاب دہن ڈالا اور برکت کی دعا فرمائی، پھر فرمایا: ”ایک روٹی پکانے والی بلا لو، وہ تمہارے ساتھ روٹیاں پکائے اور اپنی ہانڈی سے چمچہ سے سالن نکالنا اور اس کو چولہے سے نہ اتارنا۔“ آپ کے ساتھی ایک ہزار تھے، میں اللہ کی قسم کھاتا ہوں، سب نے کھایا، حتی کہ اس کو باقی چھوڑ کر چلے گئے اور ہماری ہانڈی پہلے کی طرح جوش مار رہی تھی اور ہمارا آٹا اس طرح پکایا جا رہا تھا، جو لفظ ضحاک نے کہا۔
Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhuma) bayan karte hain, jab Khandaq khodi ja rahi thi, main ne Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) mein bhook ka asar mehsoos kiya to main apni biwi ki taraf lauta aur us se pucha: Kya tere paas koi khane ki cheez hai? Main ne dekha hai ke Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ko sakht bhook lagi hai, us ne mujhe ek chamde ka thaila pesh kiya, jis mein ek saa' jo the aur hamare paas ek chhota sa paltu chhatra tha, main ne usay zubah kiya aur us ne jo peese aur mere saath hi us se farigh ho gayi, main ne gosht chhota chhota kar ke handi mein dala, phir wapas Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ki taraf chal diya, us ne kaha: Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ko saathiyon samet la kar mujhe ruswa na karna, main Aap ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur aap se sargoshi ki, main ne arz kiya: Aye Allah ke Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)! Hum ne apna ek chhota sa paltu chhatra zubah kiya aur biwi ne hamare paas ek saa' jo the, pees liye hain to Aap chand saathiyon ke humrah tashreef le aayein to Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne buland awaz se farmaya: "Aye Khandaq walo! Jabir (Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu) ne tumhari dawat ki hai to jaldi karo" aur Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne farmaya: "Apni handi hargiz na utarna aur aate ki rotian na pakana, hatta ke main aa jaaun." Main chal pada aur Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) logon ke aage chal pade, hatta ke main biwi ke paas pahunch gaya, (us ko soorat haal batai) us ne kaha: Teri wajah se aisa hua to hi ruswa ho ga, main ne kaha: Main ne to teri baat par amal kiya tha, us ne aap ke samne gundha hua aata pesh kiya, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) ne us mein lu'aab mubarak dala aur barkat ki dua farmai, phir aap ne hamari handiya ka rukh kiya, us mein lu'aab dahan dala aur barkat ki dua farmai, phir farmaya: "Ek roti pakane wali bula lo, woh tumhare saath rotian pakaye aur apni handi se chamcha se salan nikalna aur us ko chulhe se na utarna." Aap ke saathi ek hazar the, main Allah ki qasam khata hun, sab ne khaya, hatta ke us ko baqi chhod kar chale gaye aur hamari handi pehle ki tarah josh maar rahi thi aur hamara aata us tarah pakaya ja raha tha, jo lafz Dhahhak ne kaha.
حَدَّثَنِي حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ، حَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، مِنْ رُقْعَةٍ عَارَضَ لِي بِهَا ثُمَّ قَرَأَهُ عَلَىَّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَاهُ حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مِينَاءَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ لَمَّا حُفِرَ الْخَنْدَقُ رَأَيْتُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَمَصًا فَانْكَفَأْتُ إِلَى امْرَأَتِي فَقُلْتُ لَهَا هَلْ عِنْدَكِ شَىْءٌ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَمَصًا شَدِيدًا . فَأَخْرَجَتْ لِي جِرَابًا فِيهِ صَاعٌ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ وَلَنَا بُهَيْمَةٌ دَاجِنٌ - قَالَ - فَذَبَحْتُهَا وَطَحَنَتْ فَفَرَغَتْ إِلَى فَرَاغِي فَقَطَّعْتُهَا فِي بُرْمَتِهَا ثُمَّ وَلَّيْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَتْ لاَ تَفْضَحْنِي بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَمَنْ مَعَهُ - قَالَ - فَجِئْتُهُ فَسَارَرْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا قَدْ ذَبَحْنَا بُهَيْمَةً لَنَا وَطَحَنَتْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ كَانَ عِنْدَنَا فَتَعَالَ أَنْتَ فِي نَفَرٍ مَعَكَ . فَصَاحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَالَ " يَا أَهْلَ الْخَنْدَقِ إِنَّ جَابِرًا قَدْ صَنَعَ لَكُمْ سُورًا فَحَيَّهَلاَ بِكُمْ " . وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تُنْزِلُنَّ بُرْمَتَكُمْ وَلاَ تَخْبِزُنَّ عَجِينَتَكُمْ حَتَّى أَجِيءَ " . فَجِئْتُ وَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْدُمُ النَّاسَ حَتَّى جِئْتُ امْرَأَتِي فَقَالَتْ بِكَ وَبِكَ . فَقُلْتُ قَدْ فَعَلْتُ الَّذِي قُلْتِ لِي . فَأَخْرَجْتُ لَهُ عَجِينَتَنَا فَبَصَقَ فِيهَا وَبَارَكَ ثُمَّ عَمَدَ إِلَى بُرْمَتِنَا فَبَصَقَ فِيهَا وَبَارَكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ " ادْعِي خَابِزَةً فَلْتَخْبِزْ مَعَكِ وَاقْدَحِي مِنْ بُرْمَتِكُمْ وَلاَ تُنْزِلُوهَا " . وَهُمْ أَلْفٌ فَأُقْسِمُ بِاللَّهِ لأَكَلُوا حَتَّى تَرَكُوهُ وَانْحَرَفُوا وَإِنَّ بُرْمَتَنَا لَتَغِطُّ كَمَا هِيَ وَإِنَّ عَجِينَتَنَا - أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ الضَّحَّاكُ - لَتُخْبَزُ كَمَا هُوَ .
