باب تَسْوِيَةِ الصُّفُوفِ وَإِقَامَتِهَا وَفَضْلِ الأَوَّلِ فَالأَوَّلِ مِنْهَا وَالاِزْدِحَامِ عَلَى الصَّفِّ الأَوَّلِ وَالْمُسَابَقَةِ إِلَيْهَا وَتَقْدِيمِ أُولِي الْفَضْلِ وَتَقْرِيبِهِمْ مِنَ الإِمَامِ

Sahih Muslim 438a
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) saw (some) among his Companions to go to the back, so he told to them: Come forward and follow my lead, and let those who come after you follow your lead. People will continue to keep back till Allah will put them at the back.
حضرت ابو سعید خدری ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ساتھیوں کو پیچھے رہتے محسوس کیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں فرمایا: ”آگے بڑھو، اور میری اقتدا کرو، اور تمہارے پچھلے تمہاری اقتدا کریں، کچھ لوگ پیچھے رہتے رہیں گے حتیٰ کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ان کو (اپنے فضل اور رحمت سے) مؤخر کر دے گا۔“
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (Radiallahu Ta'ala Anhu) se riwayat hai ke Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne sathiyon ko peeche rehte mehsoos kiya toh Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne unhein farmaya: "aage barho, aur meri iqtida karo, aur tumhare pichle tumhari iqtida karein, kuch log peeche rehte rahein ge hatta ke Allah Ta'ala un ko (apne fazal aur rahmat se) mu'akkhar kar de ga."
حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَشْهَبِ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ الْعَبْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَأَى فِي أَصْحَابِهِ تَأَخُّرًا فَقَالَ لَهُمْ " تَقَدَّمُوا فَائْتَمُّوا بِي وَلْيَأْتَمَّ بِكُمْ مَنْ بَعْدَكُمْ لاَ يَزَالُ قَوْمٌ يَتَأَخَّرُونَ حَتَّى يُؤَخِّرَهُمُ اللَّهُ " .
