Sahih Muslim 782c
Ummul Momineen A'isha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) reported that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) did not observe fast in any month of the year more than in the month of Sha'ban, and used to say, do as many deeds as you are capable of doing, for Allah will not become weary (of giving you reward), but you would be tired (of doing good deeds); and he also said, the deed liked most by Allah is one to which the doer adheres constantly even if it is small.
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سال بھر کسی ماہ میں شعبان سے زیادہ روزے دار نہیں ہوتے تھے اور فرماتے تھے۔ ”اس قدر اعمال کرو۔ جو تمھارے بس میں ہوں کیونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ (اجرو ثواب دینے سے) نہیں اکتائے گا تم خود ہی (عمل کرنے سے) اکتا جاؤ گے۔“ اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرماتے تھے: ”اللہ کے ہاں محبوب ترین عمل وہ ہے جس پر صاحب عمل ہمیشگی کرے اگرچہ وہ تھوڑا ہی ہو۔“
Hazrat A'isha (Raziallahu Anha) bayan karti hain ke Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) saal bhar kisi mah mein Sha'ban se zyada rozedar nahi hote the aur farmate the. "Is qadar a'maal karo. Jo tumhare bas mein hon kyunki Allah Ta'ala (ajr-o-sawab dene se) nahi uktayega tum khud hi (amal karne se) ukta jaoge." Aur aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) farmate the: "Allah ke han mehboob tareen amal woh hai jis par sahib-e-amal hameshaigi karey agarche woh thoda hi ho."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ، أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي الشَّهْرِ مِنَ السَّنَةِ أَكْثَرَ صِيَامًا مِنْهُ فِي شَعْبَانَ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ " خُذُوا مِنَ الأَعْمَالِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَنْ يَمَلَّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا " . وَكَانَ يَقُولُ " أَحَبُّ الْعَمَلِ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَا دَاوَمَ عَلَيْهِ صَاحِبُهُ وَإِنْ قَلَّ " .
