Virtues of Hazrat Bilal bin Rabah (may Allah be pleased with him), the caller to prayer of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, narrated by Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)

Mustadrak Al Hakim 5237
Amr bin Maimoon said: The brother of Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) was attributed to the Arabs and considered himself an Arab. He proposed marriage to an Arab girl, so the people said: If Bilal comes and takes responsibility for you, then we will give you this girl in marriage. Then Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came there and said: I am Bilal bin Rabah (may Allah be pleased with him), and this is my brother. He is very ill-tempered and irreligious. If you wish, marry your daughter to him; if not, then it is your choice. They said: The one who you call brother, we will marry our daughter to him. Thus, they married their daughter to his brother. ** This Hadith has a Sahih chain of narrators but the Two Sheikhs (Imam Bukhari & Imam Muslim - may Allah have mercy upon them) did not narrate it. This is a narration from the brother of Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him).
" عمرو بن میمون کہتے ہیں : حضرت بلال رضی اللہ عنہ کا بھائی عرب کی جانب منسوب ہوتا تھا اور سمجھتا تھا کہ وہ عربی ہے ۔ انہوں نے ایک عربی لڑکی کو پیغام نکاح بھیجا ، تو لوگ کہنے لگے : اگر بلال آ کر تمہاری ذمہ داری لے لے تو ہم اس لڑکی کے ساتھ تمہارا نکاح کر دیں گے ۔ پھر حضرت بلال رضی اللہ عنہ وہاں آئے اور کہا : کہ میں ہوں بلال بن رباح رضی اللہ عنہ ، اور یہ میرا بھائی ہے ۔ بہت بدمزاج اور بد دین ہے ، تمہاری مرضی ہو تو اس سے اپنی لڑکی کا نکاح کر دو ، نہیں کرنا چاہتے تو بھی تمہاری مرضی ۔ انہوں نے کہا : جس کے تم بھائی ہو ہم اپنی لڑکی کا اس کے ساتھ نکاح کریں گے ۔ چنانچہ انہوں نے ان کے بھائی کا نکاح کر دیا ۔ ٭٭ یہ حدیث صحیح الاسناد ہے لیکن شیخین رحمۃ اللہ علیہما نے اس کو نقل نہیں کیا ۔ حضرت بلال رضی اللہ عنہ کے بھائی کی یہ روایت ہے ۔"
Amro bin Maimoon kehte hain: Hazrat Bilal Radi Allaho Anho ka bhai Arab ki jaanib mansoob hota tha aur samajhta tha ke woh Arabi hai. Unhon ne ek Arabi ladki ko paigham nikah bheja, tou log kehne lage: Agar Bilal aa kar tumhari zimmedari le le tou hum iss ladki ke sath tumhara nikah kar denge. Phir Hazrat Bilal Radi Allaho Anho wahan aaye aur kaha: Ke main hun Bilal bin Rabah Radi Allaho Anho, aur ye mera bhai hai. Bahut badmizaj aur bad deen hai, tumhari marzi ho tou iss se apni ladki ka nikah kar do, nahi karna chahte tou bhi tumhari marzi. Unhon ne kaha: Jiss ke tum bhai ho hum apni ladki ka iss ke sath nikah karenge. Chunanche unhon ne unke bhai ka nikah kar diya. ** Ye hadees sahih al-isnad hai lekin Shaikhain rehmatullahi alaihima ne iss ko naqal nahi kiya. Hazrat Bilal Radi Allaho Anho ke bhai ki ye riwayat hai.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزَّاهِدُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى الْقَاضِي، ثنا عَارِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، أَنَّ أَخًا لِبِلَالٍ كَانَ يَنْتَمِي إِلَى الْعَرَبِ وَيَزْعُمُ أَنَّهُ مِنْهُمْ، فَخَطَبَ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الْعَرَبِ فَقَالُوا: إِنْ حَضَرَ بِلَالٌ زَوَّجْنَاكَ، قَالَ: فَحَضَرَ بِلَالٌ فَقَالَ: «أَنَا بِلَالُ بْنُ رَبَاحٍ، وَهَذَا أَخِي وَهُوَ امْرُؤٌ سَيِّئُ الْخُلُقِ وَالدِّينِ، فَإِنْ شِئْتُمْ أَنْ تُزَوِّجُوهُ فَزَوِّجُوهُ، وَإِنْ شِئْتُمْ أَنْ تَدَعُوا فَدَعُوا» فَقَالُوا: مَنْ تَكُنْ أَخَاهُ نُزَوِّجُهُ فَزَوَّجُوهُ «صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ، وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ، وَأَخُو بِلَالٍ هَذَا لَهُ رِوَايَةٌ» [التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] 5237 - صحيح
